The first H 12 1/2 footer boats were built in 1914 by Herreshoff Mfg. Co, of Bristol, RI, from the original design of Nathanael G. Herreshoff. The unique popularity and longevity of this design has continued for 108 years. She is still considered to be one of the finest, if not the finest, small sailing yacht designs ever created.
GRACIE is one of the later 12 1⁄2s licensed by Herreshoff and built by the Quincy Adams Yacht Yard. She was fully restored by IYRS in 2011 using preferred cedar planks in place of mahogany, and she remains in “as new” condition to this day.
GRACIE is gaff rigged, and includes a galvanized Triad custom trailer, cockpit and jib mooring covers, and a full canvas winter cover.
