Our aggressive marketing program is such that we often work with buyers and sellers throughout the United States. We regularly ship boats thousands of miles away and deal with clients/customers in multiple markets.
As a buyer, there is nothing more absolutely frustrating while shopping for a boat than to be told over the phone by a broker (or seller) about the condition of a boat being in a certain condition, making expensive travel plans and going to significant lengths to view the prospective boat, ONLY to find out it is not at all as you had been assured over the phone. That "bristol" condition boat you were told about, upon your personal inspection, appears to be barely floating. It's happened to me personally more times than I'd like to count.
As a seller, there is nothing worse than hiring a yacht broker in hopes that they actually lend a high level of expertise when it comes to sales, marketing, negotiations, handling logistics, and actually working as hard towards selling your boat as if it were their own, only to find out you are NOT getting such service. Adding insult to injury, why hire a broker if they cannot provide you with strong analytical skills to show you were the market is really at when it comes to pricing in today's turbulent times? We will tell you up front what the real value of your vessel is in today's market. We won't sugar coat it- we'll tell you the truth. We won't inflate prices just to get a listing, knowing it will never sell.

We take our role as broker very serious and strive to convey the most comprehensive and accurate information we can about each listing. If it is a project boat, we'll tell you that before you come out to see it. If it is a spotlessly clean vessel, we will tell you that as well. "My name is Ron, previous owner of a 52 ft. Jefferson in Chattanooga, Tn. Several years ago I decided to sell Rainbow Chaser and listed her with the (then) broker at Island Cove Marina. Over the next two years the boat was shown a total of one time. I then listed her with another broker with the same results. Next broker...same. Then I met Tony Eyl, who impressed me from day one.
