Engine Package – Triple 600HP V12s

In partnership with Mercury, the 48 LS is offered with only a single engine package for 2023: triple 600HP V12 Verado outboard engines. And frankly, why would anyone want anything else rigged to the transom of this beauty? These engines are the perfect match for the boat, and that is by design. The innovative steering and control along with the quiet, unwavering strength of the Verado® V12 600hp outboard engines combined with Tiara Yachts’ sporty hull design, integrated electronics package, and Garmin Marine navigation deliver the ultimate outboard driving experience on the water. Her top speed with this engine package is in the vicinity of 60 MPH (between 52-52 knots) depending on conditions and load, with an efficient cruising speed of around 38 MPH, and a reported 330 mile range at that speed.
Aft Cockpit Features
On the port side, the aft deck has drop-down gunnel that turns into a convenient water terrace and the starboard side has a dive door as well, allowing easy access to the water. Another Tiara staple is the company’s innovative and always popular rotating lounge chair that can face forward or aft, and open up additional cockpit space when needed. And there is a great outdoor galley and picnic area along with an enclosed protected helm featuring electronic sliding doors, also great features for a family-friendly cruiser set up to entertain.
At The Helm
The helm station aboard the 48 LS features sliding doors and a front wraparound windshield making for a quiet driving experience when buttoned up. Radar and GPS and Autopilot and Skyhook and VHF radio with DSC come with it. Seating is cozy with plush leather upholstery and she can come equipped with triple Garmin MFD touchscreens, a VesselView LCD screen, VHF radio with DSC, autopilot, a FLIR thermal imaging camera, electro-hydraulic steering, a Lenco active electric trim system, Skyhook GPS and a Lewmar bow thruster. Of course there is a premium stereo system, in this case, being a Fusion Apollo 3-zone system with 12 JL audio exterior speakers.
The cabin down below sleeps four comfortably and has two separate cabins, one forward VIP with a queen island berth in the bow and one mid-cabin twin berth. A 10,000 BTU air and heat system provides the cabin with climate control that carries through into the head, making the area a comfortable place in hot or cold weather. (A 24,000 BTU marine air system services the cockpit above.)
The Tiara 48 LS a huge bow rider area with an electrically-actuated table that rises from a flush in-floor storage location to a dining position, and also converts to sun pad with the table in mid-position. The boat has different outdoor entertainment zones with separate sound system control allowing for different vibes in the stern versus the bow, making her an ideal dockside cocktail party vessel, or a practical boat for the whole family.
