NEW ON THE MARKET- GULFSTAR 37 CRUISING SAILBOAT AFFORDABLY PRICED
The Gulfstar is a very popular, well proven design. A great couples boat with large forward cabin, huge amount of storage space, 6'3" headroom. She can also accommodate guests in the main salon with double berths with singles above. This arrangement allows for a large galley, nav-station and comfortable head and shower. She's not a "bare boat" weekender, but a fully equipped yacht.
YOUR CHANCE TO ENJOY THE LIVABOARD LIFESTYLE IN THE CARIBBEAN AND GET EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY
The Gulfstar 37 Cruising sailboat is very spacious with almost 12 ft of beam and accommodates for up to 6 persons with V-berth and double entry head and shower forward, and settee /extension berth and pilot berth port and starboard in the salon. She has a unique wrap around galley design which keeps the cook safely tucked in on any tack. A large L shaped navigators desk with swivel chair is located aft to starboard adjacent to a hinged counter top which provides easy access to the Perkins 4108 50 hp diesel engine.
With a Waterline equivalent to many 40+footers, she shows amazing speed and responsiveness, while her uncluttered deck makes sail handling safe and efficient under any sea or wind conditions, easily single handed. This one was sailed all over the Caribbean for years by a solo sailor.
Her cockpit is wide and comfortable and easily holds 6 adults without contortions, great place for sundowners! A seat across the stern allows the helmsman to sit in any number of positions, and Gulfstar has thoughtfully allowed 8 inches of clearance between the rim of the wheel and the cockpit seat -enough for anyone to slide their knees past. The campanionway is designed with its lower lip a couple inches higher than the cockpit seat and a full 20 inches above the cockpit sole which enhances the seakeeping abilities of the boat. The steps then are wide and not steep, making for a safe and easy entranceway.
Boat has had 3 owners, all from the USA. She was sold in Florida in 2006 for $38,000 USD and refitted. Then sailed all over the Caribbean single handed. She has been used primarily as a livaboard tied to the dock in a marina for the past few years. Needs a small amount of work but can be ready to drop the lines and go cruising in a month
