The Vancouver 27 was built as an ocean capable pocket cruiser. The
sturdy construction is evident in her nearly 9000# displacement. The
cutter rig and cutaway full keel provide a manageable rig and
excellent sea keeping ability. If you are looking for a proven cruiser
with a good reputation, the Vancouver 27 is an excellent choice.
This Vancouver has just completed an extensive restoration by an
experienced sailor and shipwright. Professionally painted with
two-part polyurethane from top to bottom, including six coats of epoxy
barrier coat and bottom paint. Lots of new gear from stem to stern;
including running rigging, mast wiring and lights, batteries &
charger, electronics, propane system and stove, navigation lights,
toilet pump and plumbing, new mainsail & canvas.
Strong running Yanmar YSE12 raw water cooled diesel with fresh water
rinse system. Engine has seen little use since complete rebuild in
1995. New motor mounts, prop shaft, cutlass bearing and dripless seal,
exhaust riser and elbow, raw water pump rebuild and thermostat. Two
blade Campbell sailor propeller.
Hull has thermal insulation from the waterline to the deck with
fiberglass encased 3/4" close cell urethane foam (not foam cored,
but insulated). Beautiful walnut interior trim. Upholstery and foam in
good condition. Cabin sole freshly varnished and painted.
The boat is very clean, well outfitted and turn-key ready for summer
cruising. Call for additional details or to arrange a showing.
