The combination of performance from the award winning Corsair C31 and the spacious comfort of the Corsair 37! The new Cruze 970 is an exciting new model with great sailing pedigree and packed with fantastic new features as the latest model from the design team at Corsair Marine.
Prior to the development of the 32ft Cruze 970, over 300 C31s were delivered to owners all around the world making this model one of the most successful trimarans in the world. The C31 was chosen for its great sailing qualities & rugged construction for a number of epic adventures in the Arctic including an incredible voyage through the notorious North West and East West Passages in a single season. However most were used for cruising and racing.
The Cruze 970 is an evolution of the C31 popular design but with greater comfort and amenities similar to that found on the larger C37. The 970 is also slightly longer than the C31 and the deck has been raised creating approximately 15 percent additional inside space. Most importantly, there is full standing headroom in the saloon area.
The saloon area is finished with a clean, white GRP liner. The galley is larger with additional drawers and ample storage. The forward and aft bunks are now longer and wider giving more generous accommodation area for crew. The 970 also caters for privacy with a fully enclosed head.
The more functional cockpit has been extended and an aft deck mainsheet track facilitates free movement within the cockpit. The raised, side seating increases both comfort and visibility (a great design feature taken from the highly successful C37).
For sailing performance, the high volume floats have been designed with additional buoyancy giving the Cruze 970 greater stability and comfort for all her passengers.
As always, Corsair’s trusted folding system, proven in over 2,000 Corsairs ensures that road trailering remains easy. The retractable dagger board and rudder enable the boat to be floated in just inches of water or pushed up onto the beach when enjoying cruising adventures with family and friends.

Corsair Marine has been building the world's best trailerable sailing trimarans since 1985 and now has over 1,600 sailing waters throughout the US, Europe, Australia, Asia and South America.
So, why are Corsair Marine's trimarans so popular? Well, you can:
* Fold the floats (amas) in minutes.
* Lower the mast by yourself (no need to wait for the marina's heavy lifting equipment).
* Store your Corsair in a mono's berth or on a trailer on the hard (reducing/eliminating storage and maintenance costs)
* Drive the boat (at 100km/hr) to where you really want to enjoy your sailing (at up to 20+ knots!).
* Enjoy an amazing day, weekend, week or month cruising with the family.
* Sail in those longer, more testing, regattas. Compete strongly and complete easily. Pack up the Corsair on the trailer. Drive home. And do enjoy a well earned beer while the slower boats are still finishing!
