The Farr 280 One Design is a new production racing sailboat by Farr Yacht Design that delivers the excitement of grand prix racing to the under-30’ one design arena. As a modern one design, the Farr 280 delivers contemporary grand prix features and style to a more achievable smaller boat package. The boat has dynamic performance on all points of sail, with a focus on inshore racing for a moderate crew size of five to six people.
With a FARR 280 you combine the speed potential of a 40-50 foot racing yacht with the low cost of a sport boat. Since the boat is easily trailerable, you can easily participate in the big international regattas such as Cowes Week, or race competitavely regionally in IRC/ ORC.

Tim Brouardstarted his career working for a yacht brokerage commissioning new boats and managing brokerage boats. He then set up his own yacht management company on the Hamble before joining Nicolle Associates.
Tim is an experienced private skipper where in addition to cruising he has introduced owners and clients to the racing circuit with an impressive second in the Round The Island Race.
Tim is a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore and an active member of the Royal Thames Yacht club.
