Presenting a magnificent opportunity to acquire the largest wooden sailing yacht with an excellent charter record and potential, Lamima features the authenticity and charm of the Indonesian two-masted trading ship – the phinisi.
Custom-built in 2014 by Haji Baso and Haji Saka with an iron wood hull and teak superstructure, she is a two-masted phinisi and the largest wooden sailing yacht in commercial operation.
The design and engineering of 65.2m (213’9) Lamima was carried out by esteemed yacht designer Marcelo Penna of Barcelona and benefits from a beautifully contemporary interior that is complemented by Asian influences in the form of artwork, furniture and fittings. He has also given her an impressive sail wardrobe designed to catch every breeze of the archipelago, thus creating a first-class sailing vessel with all the opulence of a superyacht.
Her elegant interior consists of an open plan bright and airy main saloon with a bar and lounge, as well as a vast dining table that comfortably seats up to 14 guests. Lamima can accommodate all 14 guests in seven luxurious en suite staterooms; a master cabin, four double staterooms and two twin cabins.
Heading out, forward of the main saloon, is an exceptional deck space that is shaded by a bimini top. Here, seating and a dining table can be found, offering guests a relaxing space for enjoying al fresco cocktails, a meal or a Balinese massage. This furniture cleverly converts to large sunpads to make way for sunbathing and lounging.
Lamima comes with a crew of 20, including a dedicated tour guide, two experienced Indonesian chefs, two Balinese masseuses, a yoga instructor and two qualified dive masters. As well as boasting an onboard PADI dive centre, Lamima also stores two large tenders, jet-skis, paddleboards and kayaks on board.
Lamima is the only world class charter yacht to be registered under the Indonesian flag (a requisite when sailing with clients in Indonesian waters) thus providing further exclusivity and confirming her mandate to explore at liberty the sapphire waters of the archipelago she calls home.
With over 1200 square metres of sails and a 1000hp MAN engine, Lamima cruises at 10 knots and can reach a top speed of 12 knots.
