DAYGLOW is the best example of any Ellis 36 Express that we have seen. She has been professionally maintained and upgraded to the highest standards since new. She’s spent every winter stored in a heated building at one of New England’s finest boatyards and enjoys little use every summer under the care of a Captain. As one of the most recent Ellis 36’s afloat, she shows like a new boat inside and out. In 2017, she was sent back to the Ellis factory for a refit in excess of $150,000 which included installing a transom door, wraparound cockpit seating with storage and a power SureShade sun shade system. This year, she received all new top-of-the-line Garmin electronics.
DAYGLOW has everything you’d ever look for in a high end 36’ Express – dependable Yanmar power, Fischer Panda generator, air conditioning and heat, separate stall shower, bow thruster, incredible cockpit seating, and brand-new electronics. With less than 500 engine hours – she is barely broken in and ready for her next owner. This boat has no excuses and has been maintained with an open checkbook since new - she is as perfect as any Ellis 36 can be.

Starting forward is a very large V-berth with filler cushion, storage below and hanging locker. Cypress ceilings give a warm and highly-finished feel to the area. Aft and to port is the galley with stainless steel sink, Princess glass top range, Nova Kool refrigerator and Sharp convection microwave. Aft and to starboard is the head with sink, Vacuflush toilet, hot and cold pressure water, plus a separate shower stall. Excellent headroom throughout.
In the pilot house are generous cantilevered/reversible back helm seats that are electrically adjustable, up and down, forward and back. These can also convert to twin bunks in conjunction with the stern seats. Flip-up tables port and starboard make the pilothouse flexible enough to accommodate eight or a couple equally well.
Back aft is the huge cockpit with built in wraparound seating and transom door (2017). The SureShade system provides protection from the sun and the entire pilothouse can be very open or cozily enclosed on less than perfect days.
