Bella Vita is an exceptional yacht, thoughtfully and tastefully equipped by her knowledgeable and experienced owners.
At dockside she is immediately impressive with graceful and classic lines that characterize all Selenes.
She is of the New Generation hull design featuring a more efficient form resulting in greater fuel economy, hull speed, buoyancy, Eng.room headroom, and sea worthiness in following conditions. Built to CE Category A standard, the yacht is strong and seaworthy, able in offshore passages as well as luxuriously comfortable in quiet inland waters.
All hydraulic Wesmar stabilizers and get-home drive provide comfortable and dependable performance. Her articulated rudder contributes to her efficiency on long legs and added maneuverability in close quarters. Both bow and stern thrusters further simplify docking and tight maneuvering.
Her interior as with all Selenes, is executed flawlessly by the craftsmen at Jet Tern. A warm, cherry interior and traditional teak and holly soles convey the very best sense of warmth and comfort, just as a classic yacht should.
The pilothouse with a commanding 270 degree view centers the dual navigation systems, provide a Stidd helm seat for the captain, and a circular shaped settee for passengers and crew to enjoy the voyage.
The master stateroom is full-width amidships with Shoji screens sliding for privacy but welcoming light from the outside.
Rigorous maintenance and service is well-documented by SeaKits' Marine Maintenance Management System. This system transfers to her new owner.
Examine Bella Vita carefully and you will agree she will provide all the cruising enjoyment a yacht of this class is expected to.
Bella Vita is boarded from side gates into the cockpit both port and starboard, from the swim platform through a gate in the transom, or onto the Portuguese bridge via a high gate on the starboard side. This is especially helpful when tied on a fixed dock during lower tides.
From the cockpit, entry is made via a Dutch door into the salon. The pilothouse may be entered directly via Dutch doors on both the port and starboard side. This is especially helpful when tied on a fixed dock during lower tides.
Cockpit, side decks and Portuguese bridge decks are teak. Foredeck and flybridge decks are non-skid molded FRP. A Brilliantly finished teak cap-rail runs the perimeter of the cockpit and side decks. Custom covers protect the cap-rail as needed.
The Salon is entered from the cockpit through a Diamond Seaglaze dutch door. To port is a large L-shaped settee centered around a hi/lo teak table, perfect for diner for two, or opened to host a party of eight. Cocktails or dinner, the adjust to your needs.
To Starboard, two leather barrel chairs with storage ottomans expand the seating capacity of the salon. Ahead, custom cabinetry houses a 42" Samusung TV. A full electronics suite including satellite TV, surround-sound, DVD, and AM/FM/CD systems are housed in cabinetry adjacent.
A dedicated reverse-cycle Cruiseair HVAC System serves the salon and galley.
Forward and to starboard is the galley. Directly forward is access to the pilothouse, and forward to port are stairs that access the master stateroom and engine room.
The Gourmet galley will make meal preparations a delight. Spacious granite work areas, a four burner Meile propane stove cooktop and oven, GE Advantium microwave/convection oven, a Fisher Pakel dishwasher, and garbage disposal.
A Sub-Zero provides oversized refrigeration space and two freezer drawers. All are built into cabinetry resulting in openness that accentuates the size and scale of this Selene. A third freezer is located in the utility room.
Storage space is extensive both above and beneath the counters.
Up three stairs from the galley is the pilothouse. It is the center of activity for command and control. It is a social center, and a relaxing place to appreciate the boating lifestyle while on the hook or in port.
Port and starboard equipped with Diamond Seaglaze dutch doors for access to the forward and side deck.
An impressive Stidd helm chair is centered to provide the captain access to all systems for navigation, communication, and operation of the yacht.
Behind is a circular settee offset to starboard with cabinetry, chart drawers and shelving above and behind. A table makes the settee ideal for two to dine or perfect for a larger group to socialize.
From within the pilothouse, a companionway leads up to the flybridge for sefety and convenience, to say noting about staying out of the weather when changing stations.
A full suite of electronics is described in the features section.
The Flybridge with complete helm station, offers an open area for entertaining, sunbathing and access to the tender.
Selene trawlers are unique in that access to the bridge is gained either via an inside companionway from the pilothouse or by a gracious but practical circular stairway from the cockpit.
A full beam hardtop provides protection over the entire helm, cabinetry and seating areas. It supports the custom mast that mounts electronics antennas including radar, satellite TV dome, digital local TV antenna dome,FLIR camera and GPS.
The mast is hinged, enabling the reduction of air draft to less than 20' for passage through lower bridges, including the Erie Canal to Oswego.
Two helm chairs command a 360 view of everything going on around the ship. Redundant controls and instrumentation gives the captain all the tools to run safely and confidently.
Behind to starboard, a large L-shaped settee with a pedestal mounted table offers seating for 5-6 in addition to the helm chairs. A surface-mounted Magma gas grill is atop the cabinetry, as is a fresh water sink. Ample storage found beneath the seating.
Custom covers protect the helm seats and settee when not in use.
A 1500lb Steelhead davit easily launches the 12' BullFrog Tender with it's 35hp Onda 4 stroke engine. The tender is equipped with bimini, cushions and internal fuel tank.
At the aft end of the bridge is mounted and aft-facing closed circuit TV camera that is selected on the pilothouse displays.
Bella Vita's accommodations are accessed via two handsome circular staircases leading down from the pilothouse and/or the salon.
Forward and below are Master Stateroom with private en suite,VIP Stateroom connecting to VIP/Day head and a third stateroom/office.
Access to the engine room located at foyer adjacent Master stateroom.
All hanging lockers mechanically lock,cedar-lined and illuminate upon opening. Drawers throughout the yacht operate smoothly on roller bearing sliders and also mechanically lock.
Discretely, installed in the hallway are a full-size Bosch washer and dryer, vented to the outside.
Ships water, waste tanks, sumps etc.accessed thru the sole of both staterooms and the hallway.
Bella Vita features an elegant full-width master located midship. Center-line Queen bed featuring port and starboard cabinetry for his and hers storage.
To starboard are hanging lockers and drawers. Ambient light is softly welcomed thru Shoji Screens which easily slide or be can be removed by lifting.
The master head located to port of stateroom. Featuring large shower, granite vanity with built in sink and storage thru out.
Located at forward bulkhead hides an extra hanging locker and recessed TV driven by Apple TV.
Forward is the VIP stateroom which welcomes and comfortably accommodates guests with its walk-around queen sized berth.
Cabinetry on both port and starboard includes cedar lined hanging lockers, shelving, drawers and 8 small lockers for more storage. A flush mounted TV driven by Apple TV is recessed into the aft bulkhead.
