YOU WON'T FIND A FASTER, MORE CAPABLE OR EASIER BOAT TO SAIL FOR THE MONEY!
Ocelot is a very quick carbon fiber race boat that handles like a dinghy. She is a delight to drive and always leaves you wanting to keep sailing. Her open layout provides a spacious platform for racing or a bay cruise. The owners have raced her to Alaska (Jungle Kitty) and around Puget Sound. They have also cruised her extensively in the waters between Seattle and Desolation Sound.
Ocelot's rigging allows her to be sailed very efficiently shorthanded or with a full crew of 10-12. With her narrow waterline and ultra light displacement she has exceptional light air performance, transitions well through changing conditions, and loves to scream downwind on a plane.
Ocelot's PNW podium finishes since 2014:
2019 SYC Tri Island Series ORC Division - Second
2019 RTTS - Second Overall
2018 RTTS - Second Overall
2016 Race to Alaska - Second
2014 Oregon Offshore IRC Division - First

Deck and Hull
Ocelot’s hull, deck and rudder originated from the same female molds as the Wyliecat 44 with modifications by Tim Kernan to carry a conventional sloop rig. The hull and deck are constructed of carbon fiber with vinylester resin and ¾” core by Schooner Creek Boatworks. Carbon stringers, bulkheads and structural floors stiffen the hull. Every effort is made to keep weight low and centered, including a fuel tank in the hollow keel in addition to two bladder tanks for drinking water. Her underbody features a a 10’ deep T keel with 4,200 lb lead bulb attached with stainless bolts and a high aspect rudder. Her two-spreader fractional rig was constructed by Hall Spars. Rod rigging terminates at composite chainplates.
Her deck arrangement is clean and uncluttered, with control lines for the jib cars, mainsheet and traveler led below deck. Her open cockpit is well designed for sailing shorthanded or with a full crew. The companionway is protected by a hard dodger. The foredeck is clean and uncluttered with molded toe rails. Spinnakers are flown from the carbon bowsprit.

Interior Accommodations
Ocelot’s interior is an efficient arrangement with two single berths in the salon and two single berths aft beneath the cockpit. Cushions and seatbacks are upholstered in gray faux leather and are fitted with lee cloths. Adjacent to the companionway to port is the galley with gimballed Sterno stove, sink with fresh and raw water foot pumps and storage shelves outboard. Opposite to starboard is a outboard facing nav station with carbon fiber table. Storage for navigation tools and other items can be found below the table. A Garmin GPS, Nexus repeater, VHF radio and DC distribution panel are mounted outboard. The engine and fuel tank are located beneath the cockpit, with easy all-around access. Forward of the mast, there is a flat sole that could be used for an additional double berth space. The toilet with integral carbon fiber holding tank is located to port. Storage is available beneath the main cabin berths, on shelves outboard, in hanging zippered mesh bins and forward beneath the sole.
