Island Packet 445 sailing yacht for sale. First time to the market, Aquilegia is a beautiful example of this high-quality centre cockpit cruising yacht.
On deck, Aquilegia is perfectly set up to be sailed short-handed by her current husband and wife owners. The rig is with in-mast furling, she is cutter rigged, with all lines leading aft into the cockpit. The primary and secondary winches are also electric. The cockpit boasts an impressive canvas enclosure which can also be used as a simple bimini. She features good deck storage, davits, forward deck mounted s/s dinghy cradle, and passarelle. A comprehensive set of electronics on deck also enhance the ability to sail with minimum crew. A powerful engine and bow thruster ensure she is easily manoeuvred.
Below decks, one enters an extremely light and bright interior, incredibly spacious for a yacht of this size. The light oak joinery combined with cream leather upholstery ensures the luxurious feel to this yacht. The layout features two impressive cabins, each with ensuite and separate shower stool. The salon has two full-length settee berths, an impressive leather chart table seat, and a beautifully finished saloon table, which neatly pivots up for stowage at sea, neatly concealing a beautiful drinks cabinet when the table is down. The galley boats 2 fridge compartments, cooker, microwave and superbly finished Corian worktops with plenty of useable space.
As you might expect, Aquilegia is extremely well equipped and very well maintained by her original owners. She has sailed across the Baltic, and several northern European countries, but equally at home cruising the East Coast of the UK. Regrettably, she is for sale due to health reasons.
In the broker's opinion, this is a stunning yacht. She is sensibly priced, and the broker has no hesitation to recommend viewing.

With the table down in dining mode, the table can be extended to the starboard side. The saloon light and spacious with generous headroom, TV with built-in DVD and Bose speakers.
A forward facing well-equipped chart table area is to the port aft end of the saloon, a nice feature here is the chart table storage area behind the navigator's chair. Access to a wet locker is also here.
The Galley runs along the starboard side from salon to aft cabin. The galley is well appointed with generous fridge and freezer plus a 2nd fridge drawer below. There is a Force 10 cooker, microwave and sink. The galley features a lovely large Corian worktop.

The cockpit features 6 winches, 4 of which are electric. The helm is well appointed and allows the helmsman superb all-round visibility.
The cutter anodised in-mast furling rig is by Sparcraft. The sails are believed to be original and made by Quantum in 2006. the sails are a cross cut design made of woven Polyester (Dacron). The staysail features a boom jib for easy control. the mast also contains 3 Lewmar winches.
The stern of the yacht contains a generous lazarette locker, davits which can swing inboard to reduce the length overall (note there is a weight restriction TBC), s/s pole with satellite dome, aft deck wash, steps down to the transom and a swimming ladder. There is also a deck fitting for a passarelle. The foredeck houses a sturdy s/s frame to house the inflatable dinghy on long passages, and the passarelle/pontoon step. There is a generous partitioned bow locker, which accommodates chain, fenders, warps etc.
