climbing aboard the Luhrs 28 open feels much bigger than a 28' sportfish boat. The cockpit features good open area with transom fish boxes than span the transom. There are also 2 large wells aft of the pilot and co pilot seating area. One is storage the other is a live well. The hatch in the cockpit floor gives big access to batteries, strainers, thru hulls, electrical and water heater. Moving forward into the pilot and co pilot area, there is adjustable seating, excellent helm layout, big chartplotter/radar screen, engine synchronizers, and excellent visibility. The engine hatch is between the pilot and co pilot seating, it is excellent access to the two Volvo Penta 5.7 litre v8 engines. clean area to work with good access to all service items.| The main cabin has a galley to port with refrigeration, single burner electric stove top, microwaven oven, and stainless sink. The fully enclosed head with sink and shower is to starboard. The V berth area with filler cushion takes up the remainder of the main cabin with excellent storage under the berths. the cabin also features 2 fold down bunks that actually are big enough to sleep in!
