The 39' Kadey-Krogen is boarded through the transom door into the cockpit or by a side door into the the side walkway that goes from port to starboard. The fully enclosed cockpit is often used as the aft "sunroom". The Barrett enclosure is made of a polycarbonate material and has a UV coating to add to longevity & clarity.
The salon is entered through the aft bulkhead and has a Pacific Marine watertight door. There is a settee on the port side that folds into a double berth. The L-shaped dinette is on the starboard side. The table is expandable and enough dining for five comfortably. Custom retractable shades are on all the large windows. The salon has upgraded Ultra-Leather cushions and high quality carpeting. Teak soles are underneath the carpet. Just forward of the settee is a bookcase/storage unit.
The galley flows seamlessly from the salon. It is starboard in the vessel. Equipped with a Force 10 stove/oven, Sea Freeze ultra-efficient refrigerator/ freezer and a flush mounted GE Spacemaker II microwave oven and upgraded lighting.
Up a few steps from the galley/salon is the pilothouse. Behind the helm is a custom settee. The pilothouse is soundproofed with Soundown noise reducing underlayment. Two watertight Pacific Marine dutch doors are on the port and starboard sides of the pilothouse.
A curved stairway on the port side of the pilothouse leads to the forward stateroom, head and stand-up engine room. The spacious stateroom is equipped with a island queen sized berth. It lifts up on gas struts to a large storage compartment below. Many portlights and an Ocean Series Lewmar hatch provide abundant light and ventilation. Many deep drawers and large hanging lockers and a mirrored bureau/dressing station.
