The Jeanneau DS design features a full queen centerline berth under the raised cockpit floor. There is equal access to both sides of the berth and lots of storage and closet space for him and her. The aft head had access just forward of the berth on the port side and features a full standup separate shower. Both heads have electric flush.
The galley is to starboard and the nav station to port of the companionway. And the salon features a raised dinette forward of the galley and a comfortable settee ahead of the nav table.
The guest cabin is forward with a ensuite head/shower. A nice vanity and closet space provide storage.
A 16K btu a/c system is available to cool the interior while in port.
The L-shaped galley is to starboard of the companionway and includes and double SS sink with covers to provide additional counter space when needed. There is a huge top and front loading refrigerator and separate freezer to provide plenty of room for provisions. A Eno 2 burner propane stove and oven provides easy meal prep. There is plenty of storage and pantry room in the galley and under the sole.
The engine is a reliable Yamnar 4JH diesel rated at 54 hp. It is located under the companionway steps with access on all four sides including a large opening in the aft cabin for access to the transmission and stuffing box. Current hours on the Hobbs meter are at just under 2600. It uses a 3 blade variable pitch prop.
As for water, there is a 12V Spectra water maker located under the nave seat for easy access, operation and maintenance.
The electrical system is powered by a 30 A shore power cord while at the docks. But underway, the 4 solar panels over the bimini provide almost 600W of 12V charging on a bright day. These help keep the 3 house and 1 start AGM batteries topped off. They are monitored by a Xantrex display at the nav station. In addition there is a 1500 W inverter to supply some 110V power while sailing.
Slow Dancing has a blend of original and upgraded electronics for navigation and communication.
At the helm, there is a new (2017) Raymarine eS7 chartplotter/GPS/AIS and radar, a new Raymarine Depth/Speed display, Raymarine AWI, and Raymarine autopilot. For communication there is a Standard Horizon RAM 3 VHF.
At the nav station, there is an older Raymarine ST50 Multi display, a Standard Horizon GX2100 VHF and Fusion stereo.
Recently added was a wifi booster and SkyMate for weather and communication while offshore.
The sail compliment consists of a new (2015) full battened Mainsail with Harken bat cars on a Sparcraft standard mast/boom with lazy jacks and sail cover. The mast was inspected, reconditioned and upgraded in 2018. The furlng genoa was new in 2016 with all sheets run to the cockpit to Harken 48 2 speed self tailing primary winches. The mainsheet and halyards run to the coach roof to Harken 44 2-speed self tailing winches.
A virtually new North Sail asymmetrical spinnaker is also included.
The ground tackle on Slow Dancing features a new (2018) Rocna 25 kg anchor and 200' of chain rode. Also forward is a secondary Bruce anchor and a Fortress as a tertiary anchor as well. A new wireless remote control was installed in 2019.
The cockpit is complete with a full bimini and dodger with sun shades for use at anchor. Custom Bottom Sider cockpit cushions complete the ensemble. A large central cockpit table is available for al fresco dining and storage. The table and steering pedestal have a custom cover.
The transom has a full motor mount and Forespar motor lift for the Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke out board which powers the Aquapro rib tender.
Also on the transom in a secure compartment is a 6 man Viking life raft (needs recert). Other required coast guard safety items include a Life Sling and Type 4 horseshoe buoy.
