Bavaria 34 Cruiser sailing yacht for sale. Tortuga is a lovely example of this popular cruising yacht. The 34 delivers great performance, yet can be sailed short handed with all control lines led aft to the cockpit. the Bavaria 34 is well known for the space and storage.
Tortuga is in her second ownership since new. Key features include wheel steering, radar, heating, 3 blade Brunton Autoprop propeller, 2 sets of sails, and much more. A boat cradle is included with the sale. The owner is retiring from boat ownership, many spares will also be available.
Tortuga is currently lying ashore at Titchmarsh Marina, She has been prepped for winter (sails removed etc) and personal effects removed. The accommodation on board Tortuga is light, spacious, with plenty of storage. . Finished with teak joinery and teak and holly striped floor, the internal joinery is in excellent condition and a real selling point of this lovely yacht.
The layout starting aft features a generous double cabin to port with cupboard and single seat. The main saloon features a good size galley to port with oven, 2 burner hob and grill. top opening fridge with single sink and pressurized hot and cold water.
To starboard is a good sized forward facing well equipped chart table. the main saloon area features single settee/berths to port and starboard with a centre line dining table with opening leafs. The saloon features plenty of lockers. Fprward of the saloon to port is the heads with w.c., sink with hot and cold water and shower tap. To starboard are additional lockers. The forward cabin features a good sized double berth with hanging locker and seat to port. Generous stowage below the mattress and again good storage throughout.
The cockpit sole and seats and helm position are laid with teak. Tortuga features a folding single helmsman seat located behind the steering wheel. The steering pedestal is substantial and houses instrumentation. There is also a removeable cockpit table. The cockpit houses 4 Lewmar Self Tailing Winches. All sail control lines are led aft to the cockpit making short handed sailing feasible. The decks are GRP with non slip surfaces in some areas..
Tortuga features a 12v electrical circuit. She has shore power inlet and battery charger. It should be noted the engine hour meter is not working, the owner has advised that engine hours are estimated at 500.
Sails & Rigging
Fractional Rig, age of standing rigging unknown. All running rigging appears in good order. The Sails were renewed by Nick Mussett in 2008. There is a fully battened mainsail with stak pak and lazy jacks, all control lines led aft. She also features a substantial vang. The genoa is roller furler. The original Elvstrom sails are also included. Note, the boat does not have any downwind sails. All sails are currently removed from the boat for winter.
Boat cradle is included.
