The Tartan 4100 hit the mark when Tim Jackett set out to create a performance cruiser. Built from 1996 until 2008, it has been the most prolific over forty-foot performance cruiser in the 56-year history of Tartan. With her head turning good looks, her solid, safe construction and powerful sail plan, the Tartan 4100 is well respected for her speed and exceptional performance. Underwater, she sports the Tartan Beavertail keel which gives her excellent stability, good righting moment and good upwind performance for a mid-range draft.
The large T-shaped cockpit has comfortable seating and primaries within easy reach of the helm. With all control lines led aft to the safety of the cockpit, she is easily handled by a couple. The 27 inch high lifelines, wide side decks and effective non-skid make working on deck safe.
Below decks, her hand crafted teak interior and quality materials throughout display a craftsmanship that blends innovative design features with classic good looks. The two cabin layout provides comfortable accommodations for you and your guests and affords privacy in the process. The galley is spacious with loads of refrigeration area and counter space and is designed for offshore work with good bracing space and handholds.
TOUCAN DUET has served her two sets of owners well and been continually well maintained and upgraded over the years. She is now ready for new owners to set off on their own explorations. Her Majestic Blue hull, tan canvas and maroon fabric are certainly eye-catching wherever you take her.
If you are looking for a quality, North American built cruising boat that is equally at home cruising locally, rounding the buoys or headed offshore for distant horizons, TOUCAN DUET is certainly more than capable and worthy of your personal inspection. Call and make an appointment to see her today.
