"Rebop" is a great family cruiser, The sail rig is easy to control with an oversized mainsail for power and a lapper genoa for easy tacking. The B&R mast has a great reputation for performance and safety. The layout has a huge aft master cabin and a functional second berth in the Vee.

Whether sailing for the islands or just around the buoys, the Hunter 340 can really make a difference. Starting with the tall, fractional rig, Hunter has engineered the mast to carry less weight aloft with smaller sections. This is accomplished by utilizing swept-back spreaders and reverse diagonals as well as mast support struts. This combination provides superior strength without a backstay and increases the stability at the same time. By using a large roach main as the power sail, Hunter has eased the effort in sail handling and provided real versatility for all wind and sea conditions. The deck layout reflects the innovation that accompanies the rig. An integrated arch protects the cockpit from snapping main sheets and blistering sun (with an optional bimini). This arch keeps the cockpit clear and open, where a custom console stands ready with the standard VHF and instruments. Single lever control and fold down table, along with engine instrumentation, complete the command station. The swim platform and walkthrough transom complete with shower and folding ladder are perfect for water sports or for boarding the tender. Storage is everywhere you look and the non-skid is absolutely first-rate. Comfort is truly important whether you're on the boat for a week or a year, so Hunter has created an interior that not only looks good, but works for you as well. Two private, large staterooms along with an enormous head with shower, a salon that can seat eight, and a gourmet galley will keep all the crew happy.
The layout is shown in the attached photo. As you enter, the galley is to port and the head is starboard of the companionway. Thru the galley is the large aft cabin that is athwart and as wide as the whole beam of the boat. Forward is the salon/dinette/nav station with access to the Vee-berth second cabin. The dinette does convert to an additional berth as well.
The galley is L-shaped for comfort and safety underway. It features a double stainless steel sink with hot and cold water. A Force 10 2-burner propane stove provides meal prep while the built in Goldstar microwave provides quick warm ups. There is a large ice box (with no compressor) for the cold items. A nice dish rack is over the sink to store galley ware. And lots of drawers and cubbies provide storage.
The engine access is under the companionway stairs and under the aft cabin mattress. It is a reliable Yanmar 3GM30 27 hp model with approximately 900 hours. (Current Hobbs shows 475 but the original tach and builtin meter were replaced).
Power to the systems is provided by a single 30A shore power cord to charge batteries and operate the other 110V items. The batteries are also charges while underway by the engine driven alternator.
The sail rig is a standard Hunter B&R rig with a full battened full roach mainsail on a standard lazyjack supported boom. The jib is a 110% lapper on a Furlex furler and controlled by the two Lewmar 40ST winches on the coach roof. The mainsail traveler is mounted on the arch over the cockpit.
The genoa was replaced in 2017 and the mainsail is original.
Electronics are very simple with a Raymarine ST4000+ autopilot at the helm, a Ray 52 VHF radio on the helm pedestal along with Autohelm Speed and depth displays over the companionway. (The speed display needs to be replaced).
There is a Alpine stereo/CD player at the nav station.
The cockpit is a large area for sailing control access and/or lounging. A drop down transom and swim ladder provides access and easy re-entry after swimming. A full set of cockpit cushions and multiple Type IV cushions provide comfortable seating. The central pedestal provides the helm and engine controls and also a fold up table with drink holders.
The ground tackle is a Danforth anchor with a chain/rope rode.
