Accommodations
UTOPIA III is one of the very popular Trinity Tri-Deck motor yachts which features a (5) stateroom layout with a full-beam master stateroom on the main deck and (4) guest staterooms on the lower deck. Built by an experienced yachtsman working with renowned yacht interior designer Dee Robinson the interior consists of rich African Makore joinery on the main deck and lighter American Cherry wood joinery on lower deck.
She has been mechanically maintained over the years with the last major yard period taking place in '14 and a recent yard period completed in '18 which included her 5-year ABS certification. Her reliable 3512B Cat engines overhauled in '14, allow the vessel to cruise at speeds up to 18 knots with a top-end speed of 20 plus knots. Her shallow draft makes her an ideal vessel for cruising S. FL and Bahamas.
Boarding the vessel via a Marquipt boarding stairs up to the aft deck one experiences the vessels volume and her wide 28' beam. There are a port and a starboard forward glass and stainless doors entering the main salon. Upon entering the main salon one immediately is impressed with the rich African Makore joinery thru out the vessels main deck. There is ample seating in the main salon with two large sofas and a loveseat. On the forward bulkhead there is an entertainment center with a Samsung TV. Continuing forward from the starboard companionway there is a powder room to starboard then entry into the full beam master stateroom which features a centerline king bed. The master stateroom also includes separate his and her baths appointed with a generous use of marbles and custom gold bath fixtures.
Going from the main entry foyer down the stairs to the guest accommodation area one finds (4) magnificently appointed guest staterooms and with ensuite baths. To forward is a stateroom with a queen berth to port and another stateroom with twin berths and a pullman to starboard. Aft in this area you find port and starboard king guest staterooms. The lower accommodation are features American cherry wood joinery, all baths finished with marbles and custom fixtures and entertainment centers in each stateroom.
From the starboard companionway on the main deck a spiral stairway leads up to the upper deck. Forward on the upper deck is the pilothouse featuring a center-line helm with semi-circular seating behind. Aft in the pilothouse to port is the ship's office and entry into the Captain's quarters which features a double berth, ensuite bath and captain's office. Taking the companionway aft from the starboard side one enters the sky lounge featuring an L-shaped sofa and seating to starboard and a full bar with marble top froward to port. Double entry doors open out to the upper aft deck with two oval teak tables, bench seating and wicker style chairs making this area ideal for outdoor entertaining and alfresco dining. The upper aft deck has stairs to starboard leading up to the fly bridge and down to the lower aft deck.
The fly bridge deck is a large outdoor area for entertaining. Aft has plenty of space to carry a tender and waverunners. Midship is a stainless steel gas grill and circular table with sitting chairs. Forward there are chaise lounges for relaxing and tanning. There is plenty of space in this area should one decide to add a Jacuzzi/hot tub.
The engine room is accessed either by the center line transom door from the swim platform, or from the main deck starboard side stairs.
