The Herreshoff 12 ½ was designed by Nat Herreshoff in 1914 and is certainly one of his most well known designs.
Joel White, yacht designer and owner of Brooklin Boat Yard described the Herreshoff 12 ½ as “ probably the best small boat ever designed” and went on to design a center-board version of the HJerreshoff 12 ½ which he called the Haven 12 ½,
The Haven 12 ½ version features a center board for reduced draft, providing access to shallower waters and ease of trailering. A bit more beam was added in keeping with her reduced draft, but otherwise the rig, hull shape and sailing qualities remain the same as the original.
GOOSE is of cold molded, epoxy construction and is in very nice condition, ready for summer sailing.
