Designed by Mulder Design, Happy Daze was built in steel and aluminium by renowned Dutch shipyard Moonen to Lloyd’s class and delivered in 1998 with a comprehensive refit in 2005. She has been continuously upgraded since, to keep her in excellent condition for her discerning Owners and only used privately as a true family yacht.
Her exceptional seakeeping capabilities offer her new Owners reassurance and economical cruising with an impressive 2000 nautical mile range for extensive cruising throughout the Mediterranean and beyond.
Her elegant classic interior offers accommodation for 6 guests in 3 spacious staterooms. The full-beam King Master Stateroom aft, and two convertible
twin cabins mid-ships, ensure this yacht’s impressive volume is taken advantage of. Three Crew are accommodated in 2 cabins forward, with a generous crewmess social area, and substantial laundry to cater for guests on longer voyages.
Twin MAN 670hp diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 12 knots, with a
maximum speed of 14 knots. The Yacht’s powerful air-conditioning system from “Climma” (three compressors) cools the yacht sufficiently for the Owner and Guests to
cruise in comfort. The same water circulation is effectively used in the winter for central heating from Buderus.
The interior decor in beautiful mahogany, cherry and burr walnut runs throughout the yacht, which can accommodate up to six guests in three cabins laid out as a master suite, and two twin cabins.
All guest cabins have entertainment centres and en-suite bathroom facilities, while a further two cabins sleep up to three crewmembers. The main saloon has warm cherry wood joinery matched with fine leathers and fabrics, a large settee to port and a range of armchairs and coffee tables.
To starboard is an entertainment centre including a 42-inch retractable television screen, while further forward is a dining area with seating for up to eight guests. Dolby Surround-sound system, DVD, Sat-TV, CD/radio. A big dining table for 8 persons is located mid-ships opposite the galley, which is separated by a bar, creating an inclusive, friendly atmosphere.
The Bridge and helm position are forward of the open-plan dining area, that guarantees a spacious and light interior on the main deck from the bridge right through to the sheltered large aft-deck dining area. This clever use of space gives an impressive feeling of volume for a 25 metre yacht.
On the upper deck behind the helm position is a large dining table for up to 10 people. All cushions and its weatherproof covers have been reconditioned. There is enormous storage forward of the helm position on the flybridge, large enough to house two motorcycles.
Further storage can be found beneath the seating areas. Included in the bar / cooking area is a sink, boiler plates, refrigerator and ice-machine. For hot days, the whole area can be shaded as much or as little as desired. The hydraulic crane is tucked away aft for deploying the tender, a jet ski / water toys with ease.
CREW CABINS & QUATERS
Cabins in the front and the crew area have direct access via stairs next to the helm position. The crew quarters are extensive, housing a roomy cabin area, shower toilet, crews mess, cooking and entertainment facilities and some weather condition instruments. There is an opportunity to use this area as part of the guest’s accommodation. This could be easily achieved, creating an extra cabin, thereby suiting an Owner-Captain situation.
