Fortier Boats
- “Fortier Boats, a local, family owned and operated business, is one of the premier boat builders in the Northeast. Using the well-proven Eldridge-McInnis design, we have been building semi-custom boats for over three decades. The Fortier family uses only the finest materials and workmanship in every boat to meet the most discriminating owner’s needs, including properly incorporated teak elements to provide a “yachty feel” as stated by Powerboat Reports” (Fortier boat company)
“Her design and construction make the Fortier 33 comfortable in any weather… The Fortier 33 boasts amenities generally found only in much larger boats, yet in a manageable and economical size.” Rod Fortier
The molded-in keel and spray rails offer exceptional stability and give the boat a soft, dry entry into the water.
The construction of the Fortier 33 is unique to the industry in that experienced craftsmen have laid layers of fiberglass over a Core-Cell® foam core. The result is a very quiet ride, while insulating her against the contrasting cold water and warm air temperatures. The stringers run from bulkhead to transom. The quality of materials and workmanship make the Fortier 33 the stiffest hull in her class. The Fortier 33 has quickly become the most striking boat on the water today.
Although generally used for cruising, it is often equipped to provide the ultimate fishing experience. The Fortier 33 is often imitated, but as with all Fortier boats, maintains an incredible loyal following.
The Fortier 33 provides live aboard comfort with four distinct areas. The massive cockpit and bridge deck with settee provide for comfortable living and entertaining, particularly with the popular and distinctive picnic boat style aft bench seat. Down below features a large V-berth that can be enclosed as a stateroom. A dinette with settee can be converted to a second berth. There is a fully enclosed head with shower, and full stand up galley with a double, stainless steel sink, a two-burner alcohol stove and refrigerator. Opening screened ports and Bowmar hatches forward provide excellent ventilation to the below-decks living areas. Custom teak is used throughout the boat for trim, including the windshield and rub rails. Teak is generously used down below as in any classy yacht.
