The Hallberg-Rassy 53 is a classic bluewater cruiser perfect for taking your family up to the islands of New England in the summer and down to the Caribbean in the winter; All in the elegant style of a classic European yacht. Having already crossed the Atlantic several times, this proven Ocean going yacht can easily be sailed or delivered to the Mediterranean to explore the exotic islands of Greece and Turkey. She's been outfitted with four independent electrical systems and she is already set up for both the US and European electrical systems. Take your family aboard and enjoy your family yacht anywhere in the world (or hire a delivery captain and fly your family to your seasonal destination).

This Swedish built yacht was designed by the renowned naval architect Germán Frers, who is still to this day one of the most highly revered yacht designers of classic beautiful sailing yachts.

This vessel is not only an extremely elegant classic sailing yacht, but she is also easy to handle despite her impressive size. Perfect for family cruising, she's outfitted with an appropriate bow thruster, electric windlass, hydraulic in-mast furling mainsail, hydraulic furling headsail, and electric winches for both the main and headsail. All sails can easily be handled by one person and brute strength is not required. Her impressive bow thruster makes docking this heavy displacement yacht simple and smooth as she turns on a dime defying the laws of physics, and some might say "cheating a bit". Brilliant engineering combined with elegant grace. She's certainly one of the most forgiving vessels of her class; sure to preserve the dignity of even the most inexperienced skipper in command.

The Hallberg-Rassy 53 was built for fifteen years between 1992 and 2006. 88 yachts were built. This yacht with graceful elegance offers 6'8'' of headroom throughout the interior space. At the time she was introduced, in 1992, she was the largest boat ever built by the yard.

This vessel is not only a comfortable and well built long distance cruiser. She also performs well. Peter Harrison's HR 53 "Russe Noir" won her class in the ARC. Peter Harrison is the man who brought back England to America's Cup.

The American Hallberg-Rassy 53 "Solstice" owned by Bernie Jakits and Kate Christensen won the Bermuda Cup
