Pricing Comments and Ownership History
Price reduced by £10,000 in November 2020 to take into account the British owners have not been able to go to Greece and use her this year for Covid reasons.
She has been priced at this level NOT due to any structural or mechanical issues to our or the owner’s knowledge (we always recommend a structural survey on purchase) but to take account of the cosmetics below. Mainly the saloon – whereby the upholstery could benefit from renewal, likewise the galley worksurfaces and there are old marks in some of the joinery. If the owners had been able to be out on board this year they would have been on top of all the standard expected little jobs/maintenance required on any yacht.
The Moody 44's are highly respected yachts this one is no exception, she mainly requires TLC in a new ownership.
Notes from listing in 2019:
Three owners from new. Cruising in Spain for a few years, then 16 in Croatia back to UK.
The current owner purchased her in Lymington, UK through brokers Berthon in March 2012.
In this 7 year ownership she has cruised;
2012: Solent to France & Portugal
2013: Atlantic crossing Canary Isles to West Indies
2014: Bequia, Union Islands, Grenada, Tobago, BVI’s, Trinidad
2015: ABC Islands, Columbia, Jamaca, Bahamas, USA East Coast, New York
2016: Caribbean, Virgin Isles, East Coast USA, Canada, Nova Scotia
2017: Returned to Med, Majorca, Sardina, Sicily, Greece
2018: Greece, Ionian & Corfu
2019: Greece, Aegean, Crete, Peloponnese
At twenty-four years old I believe she can be described as being in Good / Very Good condition for her age. Regular maintenance expenditure and upgrades have been undertaken as listed below.

It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
