Forward Guest and Crew Cabins
Access to the three private forward staterooms is from the wheelhouse on the main deck down a staircase to starboard. All 3 forward cabins are all highlighted with beautiful teak cabinetry, giving them a warmth that has to be seen to be appreciated. There is newer carpet throughout. There is also a full height linen closet to accommodate supplies for the six potential guests.
The forward-most cabin is a v-berth cabin. This stateroom can be considered crew's quarters with its upper double and lower single berths and a private, ensuite head with shower. The decor of which is no less than the other two guest cabins so that it can also be enjoyed by guests as well. It features a built-in, Armoire-sized hanging locker with three drawers, overhead and bulkhead reading lights, hatch with screen to foredeck, TV, stereo speakers and separate A/C controls. The forward head has a fresh water plumbed Vacu-flush toilet.
Port and Starboard Guest Staterooms
Both continue with the beautiful teak woodwork, however, the port guest cabin has a double berth set outboard with under-the-berth drawers for stowage and a hanging locker with inset drawers below. The starboard guest cabin has twin bunks with a teak built-in nightstand with double-drawers in-between. Also, adding to the ambience is the teak-fronted hanging locker and 3-drawer bureau. It has a 15" TV and like the others has its own A/C controls for comfort.
These two guest cabins share an adjoining head that also serves as a day head with the door at the foot of the stairwell leading from the wheelhouse. It has a Vacu-flush toilet, fresh water plumbed and a separate jumbo-sized shower stall.
Wheelhouse
Port and starboard sliding wing doors provide access and ventilation into the main-deck wheelhouse that is well equipped and configured. There is a leather bench seat with stowage below, set against the aft bulkhead of the pilothouse providing guests with a bird's eye view of what's up ahead and over the bow. With the exception of the stairwell to starboard, the wheelhouse features a full-width helm station that also includes the electrical panel. There is a pass-thru from the galley to the wheelhouse above the seating.
Galley
The Viking 63 has one of the best designs and spacious proportions of any yacht of its size. With their main deck, galley-up layout, it is an integral part of the living space. The U-shaped galley lies between the pilothouse and the dining area at the forward end of the salon. There are double stainless sinks with disposal and a single lever faucet. Outboard side of the galley is a large window above the counter. Besides the window providing a very nice view and natural sunlight, the ship's lighting illuminates the galley after the green flash with a stellar overhead glow. Stowage above and below the counters comprises the "go-overboard-sized" cabinet and drawer space.
- Additional equipment includes:
- Frigidaire 4 burner cool top
- Samsung Stainless Steel refrigerator with full freezer
- Sharp Microwave
- Kitchen Aid Trash Compactor
- Maytag Oven
- In Sinkerator Garbage Disposal
Dining room & Saloon
The open, town-home-sized combo dining and salon space is elegant, yet comfortable with an airy ambience, but retains a warm and inviting feel to it. New plush carpeting takes over in the salon. The dining area is forward to port, just aft and adjacent to the galley. To starboard forward in the dining area is a wet bar with icemaker and liquor and bar essentials stowage. A stairway to starboard is aft of the wet bar. Over the companionway down to the master stateroom and engine room is a heavy duty but beautiful teak stairway to the fly bridge. Still, there is more than ample space remaining for a roomy and comfortable salon. More teak in the form of an entertainment center on the starboard side at the foot of the teak stairway to the bridge. Seating in the salon includes a leather sofa and chairs with end table and coffee table.
Aft Deck
This serves as the last room on the main deck area that starts forward with the wheelhouse, passes the galley, dining area, salon and exits the interior through the all-glass bulkhead with center sliding doors. Once out and aft, the outdoors takes over and with it a change to the furnishings style to that with rattan table and 2 cushioned chairs and 2 cushioned couches. The jumbo-sized aft deck is roughly 12' long X 17' wide with low maintenance and highly casual and comfortable entertainment in mind. Through the hinged transom door with a teak handrail, the crew and guests can make their way down the new, push button, hydraulic lift which serves as the submersible dingy and swim platform as well as the boarding platform.
Master Stateroom
Down from the salon and straight aft into the full beam master stateroom. It is immense, comparable in size to the salons on many larger vessels. It's warmth and proportion of high-gloss teak cabinetry match the other quarters aboard. Aligning the port, starboard and aft sides are a series of bureaus, drawers, a mirrored make-up vanity, night stands and lockers, with a centerline, walk around King Sized berth. A walk-in, cedar-lined closet with double-mirrored doors is forward and on centerline of the master stateroom. There are additional mirror-fronted lockers that house the entertainment center. The master head is forward and to port. It has a full-length vanity with dual sinks, brass fixtures and a deep four shelf medicine cabinet. There is a Jacuzzi bathtub and stall shower with a linen closet just aft. Like forward, the toilet is a fresh water Vacu-flush. Immediately forward of the Master Stateroom is the Laundry/Utility Room that houses a work bench or clothes-folding bench with cabinetry above and below along with washer/dryer opposite. Access to the spacious, stand-up, walk in engine room is forward from the Laundry area.
Flybridge
The great expanse and vastness of the bridge is the place you really get the visual effect of the overall size of the Extended Deck version of the Viking 63. The unique layout of the bridge allows your guests and family to keep you company while running. In addition, the seating capacity with the helm chairs, two companion chairs, wrap around lounger with table, adjoining aft facing settees along with plenty of deck area remaining to add deck chairs allows you to greatly expand your company while at anchorage or alongside. A sink and refrigerator are located on the port side. The Bimini reaches forward and aft of the arch. The very aft section of the bridge has a 1000lb Marquit Davit for dingies, jet skis and other toys. There is a copious amount of stowage on the bridge under the built-in seating as well as with the mounted deck box
