GRP constructed yacht built by Gilbert Marine of France to a Joubert / Nivelt design. White GRP hull with blue livery, white deck with moulded non slip pattern and raised accommodation deck giving standing headroom below decks.
Large self bailing cockpit with ample locker storage. Wide transom with step and bathing ladder. Stainless steel stanchions and double set of guard wires.
Lifting centreboard keel within ballast stub operated from the cockpit for ease. Semi balanced counter hung rudder with tiller steering.
Vessel powered by a Yanmar 2GM20 18hp inboard diesel engine with shaft driven fixed blade propeller. Single lever engine control in cockpit with start and stop panel mounted in cockpit locker.
2x 12V batteries providing domestic and engine start power. These are recharged via the engine alternator and a solar panel charger, (the panel is cracked but still functional), 240v shore power fitted.
A large fuel tank provides excellent range between fill ups.
Diesel fired cabin heating extends comfortable use into the winter months.
Rigging and Sails
Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars. Stainless steel standing rigging and Terylene running rigging (replaced a couple of years ago) led aft to cockpit for ease of use and safety.
The sails which were replaced around 8 years ago include:
Slab reefing mainsail with boom mounted lazy bag - "in average condition"
Furling head sail with UV strip - "in average condition"
Jib - "in excellent condition"
Large and spacious below decks with a layout that feels like a much larger craft. Sleeps 6 persons with ease with a large double aft cabin, double cabin in fore peak, and the main saloon converts to a further double. The saloon is entered from the cockpit via the companionway steps, with engine under. The aft cabin is to starboard and the heads compartment with marine toilet (with holding tank) and sink to port.
Good sized galley on starboard side mid ships featuring a gimballed gas oven with 2-burner hob and grill. Stainless steel sink with pressurised cold water, top loading cool box and plentiful storage for utensils and provisions.
There is ample stowage and work space within the comfortable saloon with generous U-shaped seating covered in blue patterned fabric and a centrally mounted drop-leaf table for dining.
Chart table with drawer and storage under and light. The interior woodwork is in above average condition for a boat of this age and the Eberspacher heating system keeps the cabin cosy in the cooler months.
