The Newport 30 Mk III makes a great family cruiser for up to six, while set up for performance as well. Performance features include spinnaker with pole, fully battened mainsail, several head sail sizes to choose from, and two sets of self-tailing winches on the cockpit coamings, as well as a backstay adjuster help you sail in the afternoon races. For going offshore, you have a a storm jib, roller furling for the head sail, a Lifesling, and autopilot.
