1988 38' Island Packet centerboard!! New listing specs and photos taken on 8/10/2019. Has 44hp Yanmar w/2575 hours use, new generator w/less than 10 hours use, Air conditioning, refit inflatable and 2 cabin layout with double master forward, roller in-mast mainsail furling, twin furling headsails and dinghy davit and radar, new GPS plotter and autopilot and more!

The Owner has had the sails cleaned (Main, Genoa and Yankee) at Quantum , so they look good.  Also have an  asymmetrical spinnaker (top condition), storm jib (brand new) and storm tri-sail (mint condition).

Broker Update 8/17/2019:

The seller and I ran all systems and all functioned properly. The main engine fired up easily and cooled and we ran her in gear for 20 minutes with good thrust from the prop and transmission. We ran the generator for 20 minutes and it powered the air conditioning beautifully and the temp was cold coming from the vents. All electronics turned on and functioned well. In all, I did not see any issues from her sitting in waiting for the past few seasons, other than bottom paint. The seller hired a varnish professional to do touch ups to her brightwork and a few topcoats. Otherwise a good detailing and bottom paint is all I would recommend.

New upgrades in 2017:

* Barrier coat with anti fouling

* Whisper Power Genset M-SC3.5 3600 RPM

* B&G Autopilot

* Chart Plotter/Lowrance

* HDTV 18"

* Brightwork Topside, salon and sole

*Rebuilt Cenerboard

* Gaskets

* 2016/Starter battery

* 2016/ House Batteries

 Must see at this aggressive price point! Call us for more details!

Seller's Statement:

Enjoyed sailing her because of the way she handles in a blue water sea way (Bermuda trip and Atlantic cruising from Florida to Annapolis) as well as long haul amenities,  e.g., radar and autopilot.   Great  shallow water cruising in the bay with C/B up.  Creature comforts great too; galley fridge/freezer, good stove, potable water dechlorinator in galley, HVAC, stand alone water heater for hot showers (rationed though on long cruises).  One aft head for crew, cabin with Pullman berth forward for captain with private head and TV with disc player.  Pullman configuration gives good comfort in a bumpy seaway. Two SSB's (one in salon and one topside) for worldwide radio coverage.  Two VHF's, one in salon and back-up at helm, for short range contact ship to ship and ship to shore.

Electric windlass great for sending someone up the mast, hauling in anchor and bringing in sails.  In-mast furling for main and roller furling for both Genoa and Yankee make single handing easy, especially with electric windlass.  I had no problems single handing day sails on the bay with all this stuff. Dual Racor fuel filter allows filter change underway.  Used it on my Bermuda trip.  Very convenient; no stopping, no hassle.  It got us into St. George's without a hitch.

Lastly, gen-set to keep everything powered up.

Starting forward is the anchor locker accessible by the forward head. Next is the master head with plenty of storage, an opening hatch and a shower with a wrap-around curtain. Continuing aft is the roomy master stateroom with large starboard berth and port hanging lockers with cabinets. Walking further aft is the main salon with Island Packet's signature bulkhead mounted fold-up dining table. The L-Shaped settee is to starboard and converts to a double berth which also provides the seating for the navigation station. To port is the second settee with tons of storage all around. The nav station is easily  accessible from the main cabin and faces aft. The aft head is across from the nav station with sink, storage, manual head, and shower with wrap-around curtain to protect that fabulous looking teak. The aft head is accessible from the salon and privately  from the aft cabin. The private aft cabin is to port. She has a double wide berth, a dressing seat/table, cedar-lined hanging locker, an opening hatch, and lots of storage. Any quest would feel right-at home with these extra accommodations. The spacious u-shaped galley is starboard of the gangway. She has a BRAND NEW refrigeration system that will even keep your favorite flavored ice cream frozen. Vessel headroom is 6'3.

Very spacious and roomy. Loads of storage space.

The dinette is to starboard. The fold-down table is bulkhead mounted to make the salon much more spacious. She also converts to a double berth to share the wonderful experience with family and friends.

This large u-shaped galley is located to starboard. She has tons of storage space for the onboard chef. She is convenient both to the cockpit and salon but not in the major traffic areas.

  •  2009 ALL NEW Frigoboat Refrigeration System (2.3 cubic feet of freezer & 4.9 cubic feet of refrig)
  • Water Heater
  • Microwave Oven
  • 3-Burner Seaward Princess Propane Stove w/Oven
  • 2009 The refrigeration system has been reinsulated and a large freezer added in 2007 (2 units w/twin keel coolers)

The master stateroom is located forward. The double berth is located starboard. She sleeps two comfortably. She has storage drawers below the berth. To port she has vanity drawers and a hanging locker. Forward of the master stateroom is the master private head.

This blue hulled beauty is in great condition. She stands out from afar. She is equipped with a full keel which helps her stability in rough weather.
