Annie is one of four Jarvis Newman 36s that the Henry Hinckley Company beautifully finished. She has a well-designed interior with superb craftsmanship. She has been very well maintained and stored inside. Her navigation equipment is recent and her engine has less than 2000 hours. She is one of the nicest Newman 36s finished and represents a fine Downeast cruiser.

Hand laid fiberglass hull designed by Raymond Bunker and built by Jarvis Newman Boat in 1987. Finish design and build by the Henry R. Hinckley Company, both of Southwest Harbor. Custom cabin and deck assembly with built-in nonskid. Solid skeg with fiberglass rudder. Flag blue awlgrip topsides, very light gray awlgrip house, cabin & decks.
1988 Detroit Diesel Allison 8.2T engine, 250 HP. FWC. TD 2.1:1 transmission, Aqua Drive anti-vibration drive system. 1 1/2" SS shaft swinging a 4-blade Hy-Torq 20x22 LH custom prop with cutters and cage. Racor 900 fuel filters on quick change manifold with vacuum. Oil transfer pump for engine. Vetus bow and stern thrusters. 1612 engine hours.

The private stateroom is in forward cabin aft of rope locker.Two 6'10" vee berths (with filler) upholstered with blue fabric. Storage below. With filler piece removed is a lower seat. Aft to stb. is a hanging locker and to port is a built-in bureau. Varnished cherry sheathing with shelves outboard. Reading lights, two opening ports w/screens & curtains, and a cabintop hatch w/screen--all for good ventilation and light.
Through door to main cabin is Norcold refrigerator to starboard with counter above. To port is the galley with a Force 10 three-burner stove w/oven, double SS sink with hot & cold pressure water, and microwave. White Formica counters, lockers outboard, below and aft. To starboard is the enclosed head with SS sink w/hot & cold pressure water and hand-held shower. Skipper toilet w/chrome-plated base and pump handle plumbed to holding tank, equipped with monitor and Jabsco offshore pump-out system. Through companionway steps w/SS hand rails to Pilothouse.
Helm is to starboard with SS Destroyer wheel. Varnished cherry dash w/built-in instruments and controls.Three-window windshield w/3 electric wipers and washers, starboard window opens. Side and aft windows open, with screens and curtains. Matching port and starboard electric helm chairs w/high-low & swivel controls. Settee to port is currently fixed but can be made into a double berth with removal of helm chair. To starboard is an outboard shelf and the dining table that can be stored beneath settee. Pilothouse sole is covered with blue carpet and Sound Down. Headroom is 6'5". An attractive space with very good visibility.
Stepping through the centerline teak door is the 8'8" long cockpit. Sole is oiled teak with three hatches. 16" stern deck with enclosed center locker below for life raft, flanked by open lockers for fenders and lines. Forward are two cushioned lockers with the port side housing the propane tanks. To starboard is an electric chair lift to facilitate boarding.
Side decks are 10" with varnished teak toerails. Hinckley customized SS rails surround the boat with three gates--port, starboard, and aft. Varnished teak handrails on pilothouse and cabintop. Varnished teak bow pulpit for two anchors. A foot button installed for windlass control on foredeck.
