The hull is designed and constructed according to Lloyd’s classification. Extremely solid and rigid. Ballast keel: Trintella 57’s have been built with different keel options. The lead ballast weights approximately 9.500 kg. Hull and superstructure painted in 2000 and in 2010 Vuurvogel was not only completely repainted, she was completely stripped. All deck gear, port lights and hatches were dismantled. The original teak decks were removed and under the WL the hull was sand blasted to bare aluminium. A new AWL-grip paint system was applied. The hull colour is white. The superstructure is white. The hull, above the WL, and the superstructure is thermo insulated by a 20 mm closed cell foam. In 2010 Vuurvogel had all new teak decks. For the teak decks, quarter-sawn and seamed teak planks with no visible fastenings were used. Using the vacuum method on epoxy glue. The planking is ribbed into the king plank and the decking is installed with margin boards around hatches and superstructure sides. All clamps, rails and deck mounted blocks are not bolted through the teak deck but have an anodized aluminium base.

Centre cockpit layout: Vuurvogel has two cockpits: a centre cockpit and a separate steering cockpit. The centre cockpit is partly covered by the fixed doghouse with excellent all-round views. The roof of which incorporates a bimini to cover the whole cockpit if desired. The doghouse gives good shelter, both in bad weather and burning sunshine conditions. The central window can be opened for ventilation. The centre cockpit features a second steering position and a large fixed dining table that gives room up to 6 people. The cockpit floor has a keen three level layout that gives an easy access to the saloon.

Steering cockpit layout: The separate steering cockpit has a single steering wheel.  Inox grip rails at the cockpit side provides good handhold. Access to all 6 winches on the cockpit sides is excellent. A separate bimini behind the steering cockpit can cover the steering position. Bathing platform The stern incorporates a platform. This area includes a fold-down SS bathing ladder and a SS step to access the stern deck. There is a hot and cold freshwater deck shower on the bathing platform. There are davits for a dinghy.

2. Accommodation

General layout: The layout allows for a maximum of 8 berths in three cabins, without using the saloon for sleeping, with three heads and two showers. Forward of the mast there are two upper-lower berth cabins forward, one on the starboard and one on the port side.
Forward of these cabins there are two heads with each a toilet and washbasin, joining one central shower cubicle further forward. In the bow there is a workshop with storage for spare parts, tools etc. only accessible from deck with a water tight door and a collision bulkhead.

Central in the yacht there is an enormous ‘full width saloon, with the forward facing navigation station to starboard. Further afterwards there is a very spacious walk through galley that gives access to the ‘walk-in’ engine room and the aft. cabin.
A ’full width’ spacious aft owners cabin with a double bed offset to port and a settee. On the port side there is the owners head with a toilet, a washbasin and a separate owners shower cubicle, only accessible from the owners cabin. Internal joinery, soles, overhead lining and upholstery Interior joinery is of teak throughout the yacht. All corners are rounded in solid teak. All doors rounded in solid teak frames. Hinges and catches are in chrome or SS steel. Solid shaped teak grab rails or grab handles. Locker doors are veneered on both sides with solid teak frames. The cabin and companionway soles are of 18 mm teak plywood panels, carpet covered in the saloon. The overhead linings are in vinyl covered panels (new from 2003 throughout the yacht). In the saloon these linings are separated by small mahogany lines. The upholstery for the saloon settees, the navigator’s seat and the settee in the owners cabin is in blue fabric of first class quality (new 2003). The ‘Double Roll’ type style and large rounded corners allows a comfortable rest on the seats and backrests. In the centreline is a forward looking dressing table/desk with in total 8 smaller drawers. Above and behind the backrest of the settee is plenty of stowage in two lockers and a large drawer. At starboard is a large two door hanging locker. There is a small built-in safe. Ventilation is provided by two opening hull ports and two hatches. From the owners cabin there is access to port to the aft heads and its separate shower cubicle.

Galley: The very generous galley is located starboard of the centre cockpit, with cooker and double sink. The extremely large main work surface is 400x50 cm in a L-shape. Inboard facing there is an additional work surface of 35x125 cm. All galley work surfaces are finished in white Corian. A rubbish bin of 30 litre is forward sliding fitted under the worktop.

In 2001 and 2010 the boat was completely refitted.

Brokers comments: Very will fitted out, roomy ship, suitable for short-hand sailing. Many recent upgrades.
