The Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 is an absolute classic and perhaps one of the most recognizable pocket cruisers in any port. Despite being absolutely adorable, the Dana 24 is a well-constructed, serious, bluewater vessel with traditional boat building features.

Designed by Bill Crealock. Built from 1984-99. (Back in production now) Sloop rig with 3′ long bowsprit. 8’7” beam and 6’1″ headroom on a 24 foot boat with open honeymoon style V-berth design make it nice and roomy inside. Equipped with eight bronze opening ports. Similar to the Flicka 20. Enclosed head and shower.

Her 2 cylinder 18-hp Yanmar Diesel (with only 920 hours on it since the last major overhaul and just 1578 hours total) make for a smooth and powerful cruise under engine.

Pacific Seacraft first introduced the Dana 24 in 1984 and was built until 1998  during which time a respectable 222 boats were sold in the subsequent fifteen years before a booming mid-1990s economy shifted interest to bigger boats and Pacific Seacraft paused production for a few years while they focused on their larger line of vessels.

Kermit is hull # 22. Hull speed is 6.3 knots.

Pacific Seacraft briefly resumed building the Dana 24 in 2001 and completed several more Dana 24s until they decided to permanently cease production of all of their yachts and close their yard in 2007.

The Dana 24 mold, along with many of the other Pacific Seacraft designs, were purchased by Seacraft Yachts in 2009 who commenced building the design again starting with hull #351. Only one was reportedly completed before Seacraft Yachts decided to focus on the larger Pacific Seacraft designs themselves in 2014.

Kermit was strictly fresh water kept until this year (2021) on Smith Mountain lake in Virginia. Her original owner commissioned her to be built in 1986 and had her shipped to Smith Mountain lake where he kept until he sold her in January 2021 to her current owners.

Kermit's current owners had her shipped to Regent Point Marina in January, 2021.
