This salty Down East Lobster Yacht built by Cape Dory has spacious accommodations; a sea kindly hull and powerful engine that will make the miles melt away on long or short passages. This boat has been shed stored and yard maintained here in Sorrento, Maine for a couple that have decided to step up to a bigger boat. The ride of this boat is similar to a much larger vessel at a fraction of the cost.
V-berths with an insert to create a double bed. Teak storage cubbies above the bunks all around, with storage underneath them.
Two brass reading lamps, one above each berth. Floor illumination throughout. Two opening screened portlights with curtains. Bomar hatch above for light and ventilation. 110-volt outlets. Hanging closet with fiddled open shelf above.
The port head contains a (2008) Raritan PHII manual head with easy to use long arm mechanical flush. Y-valve for overboard discharge or holding tank retention. Hot and cold pressurized running water with accumulator tank, plus shower with its own sump pump. 110 volt outlets. Fluorescent light over mirror. The head is very bright as a result of translucent lexan roof that allows light through. Vetus air vent in addition to screened portlight. Brass towel rack.
GALLEY DOWN TO STARBOARD: Electric lighting overhead as well as close to the counter. Vetus air vent over the stove. Stove is an Origo 4500 Alcohol-Electric two-burner stove with removable cutting board cover. Hot and cold pressurized water at the sink. Norcold 12V-110V refrigerator with small freezer. Drawers plus plenty of additional storage space for utensils and food. Stereo with one speaker in the saloon and one in the galley. Additional storage in the step up to the saloon.
