This Bruce Roberts 44, Testa Dura, is a Full Keel Steel Cutter w/ a 4-Foot Cut-Away Fore-Foot (a desirable compromise over a complete Full Keel or Fin Keel), a Center Cockpit with a large Aft Master Cabin, a Full Cockpit Bimini Enclosure, Stainless Steel Tube Lifelines, Full Suit of Sails w/ a Sea Anchor and Gennaker w/ a Sock and the boat is powered by a Perkins 4-154 w/ 2327 HRS. Testa Dura is a solid, comfortable and very capable Steel Fin Keel Cutter that was built to sail blue-water!
The decks are well laid out, moving fore and aft is easy with good handholds and wide side decks. There are two large safety railings at the base of the mast for working in the area. On the Aft Deck there are two Deck Boxes for storage. The cockpit is large with a Wheel Pedestal Helm and a Teak Folding Cockpit Table. The Full Bimini Enclosure provides great visibility with Vinyl Windows forward and above for viewing the sails etc.
Down a few steps through the Companionway Hatch takes you into the Main Cabin. Immediately to port is a large U-Shaped Galley with a Double Stainless Sink w/ Pressure Hot and Cold Water, Refrigerator and Freezer, Microwave, Diesel Stove and Oven and lots of storage in drawers and cabinets. The Salon is forward and starboard of the Galley w/ an L-Shaped Settee and Dining Table, cabinets and a large hanging locker. To port is a large Navigation Station with a moveable seat and lots of storage under the desktop. Forward of the Salon is the Forward Cabin with a Settee and Hanging Locker to port and a Double Berth to starboard with lots of storage in and around the berth and under the settee to port. Forward of the Forward Cabin in the fore-peak is a Head with a Stainless Sink and storage.
Walking aft from the Salon and Galley takes you through a passageway with a berth to starboard and two Engine Room access doors to port providing good access to the Perkins Diesel and other accessories (Hot Water Heater, Batteries, etc.). At the end of the passageway is a privacy door that opens the the Aft Master Cabin. The Aft Master Cabin has a very large comfortable berth with great access and lot of well-designed storage in cabinets and drawers as well as under the berth. The Master Head is off of the Master Cabin on the port side and has a Head, Stainless Sink and Shower Head.
Testa Dura has been well cared for and regularly maintained throughout her life and is ready for her next voyagers!
