Construction
Built by Asia Harbor Yacht Builders with fiberglass hull over closed cell PVC core. 206 hulls built over 22 years, designed by marine engineer Art Kadey and navel architect Jim Krogen. Decks and superstructure are fiberglass with end-grain balsa core, reducing weight. Marine-grade plywood bulkheads with mahogany stringers and frames. Decks are fiberglass over plywood with teak overlay. Exterior teak trim coated with Cetol, 2018. Full displacement with soft bilges, full keel, fine entry and wineglass transom. A safe and solid hull.

Starting in the forward cabin is the master stateroom with ensuite head with SS sink w/hot & cold pressure water, manual toilet, and separate shower, followed by off-center queen berth to starboard, vanity and hanging locker to port. Overhead hatch and opening ports with screens for nice natural lighting. Next aft to starboard is guest stateroom/den with built-in large settee with a Pullman berth on forward bulkhead. Lots of shelving, built-in desk, and hanging locker. Two opening ports with screens for good lighting and ventilation. Guest head is to port with separate shower. SS sink with hot & cold pressure water, electric fresh water toilet. Entire cabin offers beautiful teak joinery throughout, headroom of 6'3", and bright, light, and spacious accommodations.
Up in the salon is the spacious U-shaped galley to starboard. Formica counters with large SS sink, 2-burner stove, microwave/convection oven, full refrigerator, and many lockers, and shelves for storage, some of which are custom made for Iris. Pantry-style shelving to port with pull-out shelving and drawers below provide more storage, along with customized glassware shelves on forward bulkhead.
In aft salon is the living area with two sofas, port and starboard, a custom table with built-in storage for 4 chairs, stereo and television systems, and a center coffee table. Teak parquet floor along with the varnished teak woodwork throughout make for a very attractive area. Double teak doors open to the teak aft cockpit. Large lazarette below fand port locker for storage, opening transom door to swim platform.
The pilot house is forward of the salon and up three steps to port. Center steering wheel, port and starboard doors to side decks. Navigational electronics and all gauges mounted above and on dash. The large upholstered berth (with storage below) converts to a double berth for guests who appreciate terrific views!
From the aft starboard cockpit is the ladder to the flybridge area. Center steering helm single captain's chair and upholstered bench seating port and starboard with storage underneath. A 6-person life raft pod is mounted forward of the helm. The aft upper deck features the mast and boom which lifts and launches the inflatable w/outboard onto a mounted cradle with customized and upgraded SS guard rails. Every level and nook & cranny of this yacht has been maintained and attended to by the owners.
