Heavy duty, hand laid GRP hull and superstructure mouldings in excess of Lloyds 100-A-1 requirements.

The hull has 4” foam stringers running fore and aft, so avoiding large unsupported areas of hull. Kevlar is incorporated in the lay-up to improve impact resistance.

The forecabin is entered through a door forward of the galley. There is a double berth. More lockers are fitted forward, and drawers where practical, and shelves running fore and aft over the berth and dressing table complete this spacious, yet practical cabin. Large storage lockers for sails and other bulky items are located under the floor and bunks. New Bainbridge hatch fitted in 2014.
A passage with hanging wet and dry lockers and shelf storage above, connects the forecabin to the forward heads and galley. The wet locker contains the isolation valves for the deck shower located in the port side gas locker.
Access to the forward heads, situated just forward of the mainmast, is either from the lateral twin cabin or the forecabin. The toilet is fitted with a shower, handbasin and marine WC fitted with a macerator, holding tank and electric flush installed in 2012. There are lockers to accommodate toilet requisites. All seacocks are easily accessible. In order to eliminate contamination of the bilge, the shower is fitted with a separate overboard discharge pump. New Lewmar hatch fitted in 2014.
The lateral cabin on the starboard side, has two full length over/under single berths with drawer stowage under. There is a spacious hanging locker, a dressing table with 4 drawers and mirror over, and both berths are fitted with lee-cloths. Hatch renewed in 2015.
Special attention has been paid to this area to provide large working surfaces which are safe to use at sea. There is a deep stainless steel sink with trash bin under, and a refrigerator and a large chest freezer (new compressor, external hull-mounted cooler and freezer panels installed 2013). A new gimballed or fixed gas cooker, with three rings and a grill oven, was installed in January 2019. A stainless steel grab bar and safety strap are provided. Plentiful lockers and stowage, including a cutlery drawer, are fitted. There is a self-draining gas bottle locker, with access from the port side deck and gas shut off valves in the galley and side locker. Hot and cold running water is piped to the sink and an emergency hand pump is fitted for the fresh water. The galley surface is in formica laminate, with teak fiddles all around.
A large U-shaped settee to starboard surrounds a fixed table with extension leaf which can be lowered to provide a double berth. There is ample seating for all the crew. To port is a navigation position with bespoke chart table capable of taking a half size Admiralty chart with multi-function seat on gas strut mounted on full height vertical stainless steel post (2010). Beneath is a drawer for chart stowage. To the side of the chart table is space for all navigation instruments and radios; and there is a useful shelf for books.
Access to the owner’s cabin is beside the companionway steps. A large double berth is fitted to port with drawers under. A hanging locker is fitted aft beside which is a dressing table with drawers under and mirror over.
Opposite the berth on the starboard side is a toilet fitted with shower, washbasin, and marine WC (fitted 2011). There are plentiful lockers for all toilet requisites.

The condition or level of safety equipment on board is not to be negotiated on following survey. It is likely to be listed by most surveyors but is not structural or an integral working part of the vessel and is not to be used to further negotiate the price down after survey. We strongly suggest that for your own personal safety that when purchasing a yacht you provide new safety equipment rather than relying on second hand gear.
Should you become the new owner of this yacht then the responsibility to re-register or update official bodies for items such as EPIRB, VHF, MMSI or AIS becomes yours.
Our syndicate is the 4th owner. We understand the previous three owners used her very lightly, cruising the East coast of Ireland and the West coast of Scotland. Since buying in the summer of 2010 we sailed her to Suffolk Yacht Harbour for a major refit as detailed above; and since then we have continued to renew, replace and upgrade many items both above and below decks to maintain her in a fully operational condition. She has been lifted out every winter with all running rigging and sails washed, dried and stored below. Dinghy removed, washed dried and stored below.
We sailed from the UK to Portugal in 2012 and have cruised extensively in Spain, the Balearics, Sardinia, Corsica, Italy, Sicily and her outlying Islands before over wintering in Malta in 2015. In 2016 we sailed to Greece where we have cruised around the Ionian and Aegean Seas for the past 3 years. As a live-aboard cruising yacht she is superb, with great sea-keeping qualities, wide decks, a deep safe cockpit, easy handled sailing set up with control lines to cockpit, good sailing performance and with a strong engine (for when needed!). Extensive inventory of spares and tools for most eventualities.
The Seastream 43 was designed by Ian Anderson MRINA to meet the need for as stable cruising yacht, that is capable of world cruising, without any modification. She has a stiff, sea-kindly hull, based on a traditional underwater configuration, which gives good directional stability and yet allows a responsive ‘feel’ when under sail.
The light, airy deck saloon offers the ultimate in comfort, both at sea and in harbour. With an interior helm position, the owner is encouraged to extend his sailing season and explore further afield, as the fatigue created by exposure is eliminated.
New features abound aboard the Seastream 43. She has many comforts found in the modern home and yet she has a remarkable sea-going ability. The flush foredeck gives excellent all round visibility for the helmsman and crew, either seated or standing, from both the cockpit and the interior steering positions. It provides a safe working area while at sea and becomes a huge sunbathing area in harbour or in calm conditions. Wide, safe side decks enable the most cautious crew to move forward without obstruction. The teak interior is hand finished.
There are berths for at least seven people in three separate cabins and the deck saloon. The galley offers all the facilities found in an up to date kitchen with plentiful stowage for a massive amount of food.
The Mercedes engine was selected as it has more than adequate power for the roughest conditions and, in the unlikely event that spares are needed, they are readily available anywhere in the world. Great care has been taken to ensure that the noise level is kept to an absolute minimum; a special exhaust muffler and lavish acoustic sound deadening materials have been used.
