34 NORTH SEA PILOTHOUSE MOTORSAILER - 1980
REPOWERED 2010 35 hp YANMAR DIESEL 281.5 HOURS
8' WALKER BAY INFLATABLE 2019 , 2.0 HP HONDA 4S INCLUDED
Out of the water in 2019 for bottom paint, zincs and oil changed Nov 2020. Sails went to North Sails loft for R+R in 2018. Extra (heavy weather) head sail is also included.
The North Sea 34 was custom built for the weather conditions of the Pacific Northwest. As a pilothouse motor sailor, captain and crew have the flexibility to steer from the spacious cockpit or inside the protected cabin. With built in dining table and captain’s chair the pilothouse provides comfort and safety for all members on board. This unique design has proven very efficient over the years, as the vessel has travelled extensively throughout our local areas of Howe Sound and the Gulf Islands, with crew and single handed. She comes with many upgrades, and has been very well kept. She is the complete coastal cruiser.
Built By Beaver Fiberglass right in our back yard in Richmond BC and approx 50 of these boats were built. Ideal cruiser for exploring what our coast has to offer in comfort.
This is a very practical design for the Pacific North West. The pilot house has excellent 360 degree visibility from the helm station making sailing from inside a safe and practical alternative. The cabin comes equipped with a Dickinson Diesel stove heater w/day tank to keep you warm and toasty on those less than sunny days.
Below there are two cabins plus a head. The first cabin provides a large double berth to starboard and bench seating on the port. Forward from there is the head/shower closet with vacuflush head system to starboard. In the bow is a compartment with "V" berth.
The general finish of the interior is relatively simple. It appears very practical and easy to maintain, as one would prefer in a true off shore sailing boat. It is clear that this boat was designed for serious sailors.
The exterior is well equipped and durable. The interior area is bright with simple, easy to maintain materials and a functional lay out. This is a practical boat for someone who is serious about sailing and cruising in the Northwest.
