The center-cockpit Gulfstar 47 Sailmaster, featuring a spacious raised main salon, is known as a comfortable long-range cruiser or liveaboard. Large windows in the salon provide excellent light, and quality teak joinerwork everywhere below combine to create an attractive living space. The galley is well laid out, and two private staterooms, each with an ensuite head with stall shower, provide a good measure of privacy.
79 boats were built between 1978 and 1981. ALBATROSS is hull # 46 of the series, her hull laid in 1979, but built for model year 1980. With her ketch rig, Stoway in-mast furling mainsail, and a mizzen with Doyle Stackpack, she can be easily short-handed by a crew of two.
ALBATROSS has been thoughtfully upgraded by her last 2 owners over the last 14 years. Always hauled and wrapped for winter. She is only for sale due to the arrival of a wonderful baby girl who modified the families cruising plans! Owners will be flexible for a quick sale.
She may be shipped internationally from 2 nearby yacht transport depots. Her summer slip is included at an upscale Rhode Island marina. Keep in mind that R.I. does not have a sales or use tax. Ask about an additional 50% slip and storage discount for new customers as well. She is an excellent candidate for a families long range cruising plans. Why buy new?
