"Vanora of Yar" was purchased by her present owner in 2008. She has been based at Tollesbury and recently on the Orwell and has sailed along the East Coast, her owner describes her as a great seaboat. He initially had plans to sail her to Greece where he worked as a Flotilla and Shore based Engineer for 3 years but commitments of work have intervened.
A good boat for a single hander as easy to manage and dock using the installed centre deck cleats.
Her owner has spent a huge amount of time and much money of refurbishing her to a high standard for such an extended trip. Over recent years she has been ashore for more time than she has been afloat but the result is a high quality boat requiring very little to do for next season or beyond.
She has the original gelcoat throughout and is the more popular non-teak deck option. Her teak cockpit has been completely refurbished. She also has has the extra berth, most Vancouver 27's being the 3 berth layout with only a single quarter berth. Overall a very desirable boat indeed.
