This iconic model is a true classic within the Grand Banks family. She was the first model in the Grand Banks fleet, and over 1,200 were built during her production years 1965 to 2004. A semi-displacement hull with a long keel, hard chines and a deep forefoot provide the stability that won the 36 a reputation for seaworthiness seldom matched by other boats in her class.
She has a twin-stateroom interior all finished with handcrafted teak woodwork and all incorporating the very best in workmanship, hardware and materials. Topside, raised bulwarks provide security to the walk around decks, and there’s room for a dinghy on the aft cabin top. Notable features include teak decks, functional mast and boom, and a spacious fly bridge.
Equipped with systems and gear suitable for extended, comfortable, safe, cruising, this yacht has had great ownership with lots of elbow grease. Winter covered for most of her service, the gelcoat, decks and bright work are in good condition. Much of the interior has been refinished, and the machinery and systems have seen significant upgrades and improvements by the previous owner.
She includes full canvas including Bimini and railings and she has been hauled annually for maintenance and has been moored with a full canvas winter cover. All interior and exterior upholstery has been redone with Sunbrella fabric. New instrumentation, freshly bottom painted with zincs and is cruise ready.
