'Aurora' is a great example of the highly regarded Friendship 28. Her inventory features many upgrades including Harken furling gear and rigging in 2013, self-tailing Harken sheet winches, replacement engine and was stripped back to GRP and epoxied in 2015. Below decks they offer comfortable cruising and have moulded head linings for easy maintenance.

The Friendship 28 accommodation offers 5 berths in 2 cabins. Forecabin with V-berth and infill to convert to a double, storage and opening hatch to foredeck. Heads compartment to port with Jabsco marine toilet, washbasin and storage. Saloon with two settee berths either side of a large folding dining table with bottle storage and excellent storage in various lockers. Galley to port equipped with a single burner stainless steel gas hob, sink and ample stowage. Chart table to starboard with instrumentation and chart stowage over a large quarter berth aft to starboard. Separate wet hanging locker. Pressurised cold water supply to heads and galley. Teak and holly soleboards, dark red upholstery (new 2012) with complementing cream curtains.
Located beneath companionway, Yanmar 2GM20 2-cylinder 20hp inboard diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Stainless steel fuel tank. Shaft drive to 3-bladed fixed propeller with rope-cutter on shaft. Single lever morse controls.
The engine has been well looked after and appears to be in very good cosmetic order.

Fractional rigged bermudan sloop. Z Spars silver anodised aluminium deck stepped mast and boom (both new 2013). Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2013). Terylene running rigging (new 2013). Slab reefing mainsail with sail cover. Harken headsail furling system. 2 x Harken size 35 self-tailing sheet winches. Single Harken self-tailing halyard winch.

Friendship 28 built by Friendship Yachts to D Koopmans design in 1979. Orange GRP hull with black style stripes, white superstructure and decks with moulded non-slip surfaces. Iron fin keel. Tiller steering to skeg hung rudder.
In 2015 the hull was taken back to bare GRP beneath the waterline and several layers of gel-shield were applied.
