Caramba is a very comfortable and true bluewater cruiser. Designed by one of the world’s most respected yacht designers, William Crealock. He said in design notes “The Cabo Rico 38 hull shape is the one in which everything came together best.”. John Kretschmer notes in his review of the Cabo Rico 38 that “ It is certainly true that few boats make a more lasting mark than the Cabo Rico 38. This winsome cutter, draped in teak, inspires dreams of quitting your job and sailing to faraway places. It's just that kind of boat."

Caramba a dry boat with the clipper bow pushing water aside so the cockpit rarely gets wet. Under full sail when the wind reaches around 10 knots, she quickly reaches 6 knots through the water and is very stable and sea kindly. There's no "whippy" motion and everything seems to happen in slow motion.

She's very easy to handle and can turn in her own length in a marina fairway if required. The beautiful, deep sheer lines make it very easy to step off the boat onto a floating dock. The solid full keel means she tracks well and the sail plan gives a lot of options for all conditions.

Her interior is full plantation grown Costa Rican teak that, unlike many timbers, lightens with age to honey hues and becomes richer over time. The brass and bronze touches give a touch of absolute class.

The owners write: "We have owned 'Caramba' for over 20 years and in 2014 completed an extremely thorough refit. She has been a wonderful home and sailing companion and we never had any intention giving her up. So no detail was overlooked and no expense was spared. However, our life plans have changed and she is now available for sale. She is truly well outfitted and turnkey ready to take new owners anywhere in the world. We are currently cruising the Tonga area and plan to be in Fiji early October to facilitate her sale. Please let us know if you would like any further details (including a more detailed inventory) or would like to coordinate a visit to see this wonderful cruiser for yourself.
