This Ed Monk design is yellow cedar constructed cruiser was build by H.P Runer of Victoria, B.C as a pleasure craft and build to high boat building standers. Ed Monk, Sr, one of the premier naval architects of the Pacific Northwest from the late 1920s through the 1960s, designed everything from dinghies to sailboats to power boats. Tokalon was designed for the waters of the Pacific Northwest and beyond, she is a heavy boat with comfortable sea motion.
The main cabin is spacious with a large galley and a dining settee with lots of room for entertaining. The settee also slides out to become another signal berth. The beauty is in the straightforward simplicity and functionality. A good wheelhouse with the basic cruising electronics, a comfortable aft stateroom with double berth, with a stand-up shower with pressurized hot and cold water and electrical head. The guest quarters up forward have a hanging locker and private head with an electrical toilet.
