PACIFIC JOURNEY is a classic Hatteras Motoryacht which has the beautiful original Hatteras "Feather Grain Teak" woodwork option throughout. Her interior volume is huge with 3 staterooms and 3 heads PACIFIC JOURNEY would make a comfortable and spacious liveaboard yacht. The aft master stateroom features a queen size walk-around bed and a large walk-in closet. Overall, this high quality motoryacht is in nice condition and must be seen to be appreciated.
The original Detroit Diesel 8V71 Engines are old but they run economically at 8-9 knots. PACIFIC JOURNEY looks younger than her age and she still turns heads whenever she enters a harbor.
She has a newer 12.9 KW Generator with low hours, an Outback 3 KW inverter system, floor coverings, 2 freshwater heads, dishwasher, washer/dryer, convection oven, microwave, refrigerator, galley counters and furnishings.

There is a radar arch, not typical in these older Hatteras.
Engine Rooms/ Genset
The engine rooms are relatively neat and orderly. Detroit Turbo Diesels are original, seller estimates 3500-4000 hours. They smoke upon start up but the smoke settles down once they are warmed up. The yacht can be cruised locally at conservative speeds but she is more considered a comfortable live aboard yacht. The meters read approx. 1600. See broker note. The Norpro 12.9 kw generator was new in approx. 2004 and has less than 500 hours. It is located under the galley floor.
Broker Comments
This yacht is a timeless classic. Her systems work, and she has not been abused over the years. Her hull paint shines. The seller reports that the engines run reliably but they are slow to start and they smoke for a few minutes after they start . Once warm, the engines restart immediately and they smoke much less, typical for a 2 cycle engine. The seller estimates there are about 3500-4000 hours although the meters read approx. 1600. In it's current condition, this vessel is turn-key ready as a livaboard. Naturally, we recommend a survey on the yacht prior to closing the transaction.
