1972. Wooden construction of Iroko planking on Oak frames with wooden and superstructure. Forward wheelhouse and separate aft saloon and galley. Long keel. Hydraulic wheel steering.
DESIGN - Watson design, originally built as an Oyster Dredger.

Beta Marine 50hp inboard diesel engine fitted in 2010. Heat exchanger. Shaft drive to fixed 3 blade propeller. Max speed is around 8 knots with a cruising speed of about 6.5 knots. Engine hours approx 900.
Alternator charging to 3 x 110 Amp/hr batteries (all 2018).
Stainless steel and wood guardrails, wheel steering to wheelhouse, pram dinghy on transom, Fisherman 30lb main anchor with chain and warp, CQR 30lb kedge with warp, mooring warps and fenders.

2kw diesel heating system. Her galley has a gas cooker with 4 burners, oven and grill, sink with hot and cold water supply from 60 gallon fixed water tank, hot water via engine calorifier. Separate heads compartment forward with marine toilet and wash basin. Red upholstery, curtains.
5 berths including the cabin attached to the wheelhouse where there is a double and a single berth aft of the wheelhouse, heads forward of the wheelhouse. The aft saloon area also converts to a double berth.
Built in 1972 on the river Crouch as an oyster dredger. Built of Iroko on Oak and designed by Watson, she is a rugged seaworthy motor vessel with bags of character. Purchased by her present shipwright owners in 2005 out of fishing and converted into a comfortable and versatile cruiser over a number of years. Cruised around the Thames Estuary and to the navigable head of the Thames, the Norfolk Broads and the Kennet and Avon Canal to Bristol. 5 berths in 2 cabins. New 50hp Beta diesel engine in 2010, rubber mounted and driving through a universal joint. New plastic fuel tanks at the same time. In 2012 the wheelhouse was replaced and the toilet and double berth cabin were installed. The wheelhouse top was built to be demountable to reduce the air draft to 6'. The boat was re-wired at the same time. Most of the ancillary equipment is new in the past 10 years. New prop shaft, bearings and new rudder bearings in 2012. Hot water system and cabin heating. All new batteries in 2018.
