Designed and built in a time when yachts were built for life on the open seas the layout below decks very much focuses on practicality and comfort while on passage and in many ways was ahead of its time. This forward-thinking design has created a snug and comfortable living space with everything close at hand and finished in a classic style; with a separate aft cabin complete with heads providing two independent living spaces. With quality materials used throughout the interior, a renovation of the interior finishes would restore the joinery work easily.
Forward Cabin -Two single berths in the traditional V-type configuration. Storage provided in lockers beneath, accessible without lifting bunk cushions and a large hanging locker. Light streams into the cabin through a large opening deck hatch. Forward Heads -Of generous proportions and constructed of a single piece moulding with timber detailing, meaning the whole space is easily cleaned. Fitted with marine toilet, sink, vanity unit and separate shower area.
Saloon -Occupying the centre of the forward accommodation space. Laid out with a U-shaped saloon settee and the large table on the starboard side. Small bench style settee to port. Centrally mounted table cleverly opens out to full size accommodating both seating areas. The table also drops down to create a well proportioned double bunk in the saloon when required. Storage provided throughout the saloon in a selection of lockers with the large front opening fridge located outboard above the port settee.
Nav Station -Aft end of the saloon on the starboard side with the navigator using part of the saloon settee facing aft. The area provides an aft facing chart table with ample storage below for additional charts and is protected from any weather coming from the cockpit via a perspex screen at the companionway.
Galley -To port of the companionway. Well appointed to cater for a full crew it is equipped with stainless steel sink, gas cooker, selection of storage and large volume front loading fridge.
Aft Cabin -The master cabin. Accessed through a separate companionway from the cockpit and is a completely separate accommodation space. The cabin provides two generously proportioned single berths. A porcelain wash hand basin and vanity unit is provided between the berths centrally. A second more compact heads compartment is also provided with marine toilet.
DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT Fresh Water System - Pressurised hot and cold water, faucets in galley, forward heads and at aft cabin wash hand basin. Single built in GRP water tank 340ltr tank capacity. Hot water provided from calorifier heated from the engine and 240v immersion heater. Galley Stove - Vanessa Flavel gas cooker. Two burner, grill and oven.
