1966 Santa Barbara Aft Cabin

 This adorable 1966 trawler, appears to be decades newer than she is. Experienced boat brokers have mistaken here for a 1985 vintage. She is, in many ways comparable to other trawlers 3 or 4 times
her price. She was completely redone, taken down to the barebones in 2006, and rebuilt like new. A photo book documents the lengthy process and sadly, in 2008, with the recession, the owner ran out of money, as the boat was just completed. Hearsay dollars put into her were $120K.

The boat is a fiberglass hull with fiberglass over wood on her hull. The new owners enclosed the flybridge, with a $10,000 Ising glass and Captain’s Navy enclosure which doubles her space, and makes for a great entertainment area. Her rear stateroom, with a double bed, has one of two bathrooms with a shower, and vacuflush toilet. Three stairs and hatch open up to the rear deck, with a barbeque after, and a wooden swimstep, which can accomodate an inflatable dinghy, which goes with the boat, along with a Tohatsu 8 hp engine.

The main Salon has a beautiful table with an L shaped leatherette seating arrangement, facing forward with a flat screen TV which can be viewed while seated, or cooking. There is a propane oven, a microwave, a toster oven, a 4 burner stove, a double sink.

Forward, down 2 stairs is a V berth, with two leatherette bunks, and storage below, and an anchor locker forward, and a smoked “glass” hatch” above that opens up. and an anchor forward with a foot switch and generous amounts of anchor chain.

There is navigation, perhaps 10 years old, but in good order…A ship radio, stearing and helm both from main salon, and from the fly bridge, with two seats, and midship benches on the side for storage.

Below decks, are two Perkins 165, diesel engines, and brand new house batteries, as well as two new 8D starting batteries.

There is a brand new never used stereo, with CD player, and speakers throughout the boat.
