"Big Sally" is a very nice example of what we have all been accustomed to know as a classic Carl Alberg design, described by historians as "Classic Plastic" and written about as a traditional fiberglass classic in the book "Heart of Glass".
The Pearson Triton has been written about and referenced since 1959 when it first appeared as a total home run at the New York City boat show. Big Sally (hull number 581) follows that heritage.
Ongoing restoration processes such as repower (2008 fresh water cooled Yanmar diesel), new fuel system, redone cabin and cushions, deck and cabin repair, self tailing winches, and of course varnish.
If "Classic Plastic" pulls at your heart strings, "Big Sally" may just be your next boat.

Current owner bought the boat in 2011, previous owner had used the boat primarily as a daysailor and while general maintenance as well as a repower (2008 Yanmar @GM diesel engine) was always done, the cabin and systems were functioning so therefore were not updated.
The current owner has had the cabin re done, topside work completed, installed electronics, and updated hardware and sail handling.|
The cabin has a functioning head, but no holding tank, therefore a porta potti is installed.
2008 Yanmar 2GM fresh water cooled diesel. In 2018 the engine was overhauled and had the exhaust system replaced.
Hours are unknown, but reported as never using a full tank of fuel in a season, so if the tank is 12 gallons and the boat burns 1-2 gallons an hour (very high estimate) then the engine can't have more than 300 hours on it.
The fuel tank and lines were replaced at the time of repower
