The pilothouse follows and has an overhanging top forming a visor, port and starboard doors, and a radar mast above. The port side deck steps down aft of the pilothouse and leads to the aft deck. The starboard side deck has steps to the upper deck aft of the pilothouse. The aft deck has forward wing doors to the side decks, port and starboard gates and a transom door, a table, and a door to the cabin forward. The side decks and aft deck are sheltered by upper deck overhangs supported by Europa style wing panels, and the side decks and aft deck are teak deck overlaid.
The upper deck has a stack forward, a deck box, chocks for tenders and port and starboard cranes.

Additional Information
There are a number of very impressive systems aboard Dodge Buoy. She's a single-screw vessel powered by a 320-hp model 342 CAT. Just aft of the main engine in the extra spacious engine room is a CAT 311 auxiliary engine. The auxiliary engine drives a 15 KW AC generator and can be coupled to the shaft as a 'get home" engine should the larger CAT ever fail underway. The main was rebuilt and re-sleeved by NC Machinery in 1998. A WESMAR bow thruster enhances close-quarter maneuverability and Naiad stabilizers reduce roll underway. In addition to the generator driven by the auxiliary CAT, other power plants aboard include a 15 kW Lima, an eight kW Northern Lights, and a 15 kW Onan. There are both 12- and 32-volt DC systems and a Trace 2,800-watt inverter.
The engine room offers standing headroom and walk around access to both the port and starboard sides of the main and auxiliary engines. The mechanically inclined will appreciate the huge workbench with stowage compartments, air compressor, heavy-duty vice,
and enough general "elbow room" to tear down and rebuild almost any component found aboard.
Fuel capacity is 2,600 gallons, with 1,200 gallons of water. Dodge Buoy can cruise at just under 10 knots.
The contemporary impression is rein-forced by a fabulously redecorated interior. Nothing less than the finest materials were specified for the spectacular, yet tasteful, upgrade.
Dodge Buoy is configured as a three-stateroom layout, with the master stateroom most forward. The stateroom is Light Grey, with bright teak accents and the extensive use of etched mirrors. Decorative teak posts flank the centerline bed. The stateroom overhead consists of a series of painted beams, each with a bright teak plank fixed to the underside to create an exceptionally classy effect. Wardrobe drawers and hanging lockers in the aft starboard quarter of the master stateroom are etched with circles and angles that suggest a globe and dividers.
The private master stateroom head features Corian countertops, ceramic tile sole and shower, and a VacuFlush toilet. The walls are six rows of ceramic tile below attractively foiled wallpaper.
The guest staterooms are just aft of the master; with the starboard stateroom utilizing upper and lower single bunks. The influence of a skillful interior decorator is obvious throughout the boat.
The port stateroom incorporates a pair of twin bunks flanking a set of stowage drawers, and once again the decor is extremely impressive.
Just aft of the starboard stateroom is the ship's laundry. A washer and dryer and a series of general stowage lockers are found here. The walls are finished in acoustical material, and the laundry is as spotless as the rest of the vessel.
Across the companionway from the laundry is the guest head, a compartment both classy and elegant. A VacuFlush head, a deluxe hand basin, and a huge shower occupy a space defined by ceramic tiles, beams with bright teak bottoms, and infinitely reflective offset mirrors.
The galley and salon are a few steps up from the staterooms. The U-shaped galley, to port, is light, spacious, and well equipped. Major appliances include a 25 cu. ft. double door Amana refrigerator/freezer, standard-size GE dishwasher, GE microwave, Broan trash compactor, and a 30-inch Kitchen Aid four-burner self-cleaning range and oven.
Countertops are a Conan-style product, and there's a generously pro-portioned stainless sink. Lockers and drawers are abundant, and cooks provisioning for a lengthy cruise will appreciate that there are three separate freezers aboard Dodge Buoy.
The salon is most aft and is elegantly appointed while casually configured. The teak posts, the open over-head, and the etched mirrors found throughout the boat are used to great advantage in the salon. An L-shaped sofa with recliner, two leather chairs, and a Conan tabletop furnish the salon and create a space where friends will convene and converse. An exceptional wet bar and liquor locker occupies the aft port quarter of the large salon, with plenty of room for mixing beverages and setting out trays of hors d'oeuvres. The salon sole is carpeted.
During all but the coldest weather, entertaining will extend to the covered aft deck with full perimeter isinglass enclosure. A gorgeous solid teak table with ornate inlay can be lowered in place for dining and brought back up for deck space and lazarette access.
