"SURVIVOR" is a traditional Dutch motor barge of the "Kagenaar" type, probably constructed as a commercial cargo carrier. Reportedly she was built around 1934/5 and converted into residential/pleasure use at a later date. The most recent hull survey is June 2013 and last out of the water July 2008.
"Kagenaar" were a type of small cargo barge developed in the Netherlands which could navigate shallow and smaller waterways with a flat deck, primarily used to transport fresh produce in boxes or loose.

AFT DECK The canvas enclosed rear cockpit features a built-in bench seat and enough space for al-fresco dining with free standing chairs and table.
WHEELHOUSE Access is gained via twin hardwood doors from the aft deck; the helm position is located on the port side featuring hydraulic steering and single lever engine controls together with engine instrumentation.
GALLEY/SALOON The companionway leads from the wheelhouse into the main cabin space with a fully equipped walk-through galley offering domestic sized appliances and ample storage, leading the lounge area.
The saloon area has enough space for a sofa bed to allow for those unexpected overnight guests, the neutral decor and generous superstructure windows provide a light and airy living space.
HEADS The large bathroom, accessed from the port-side corridor, features a full size tiled walk-in shower cubicle and domestic sized toilet and vanity unit.
OWNERS CABIN With large opening windows providing emergency access to the bows; the forward cabin is bright and spacious with a large fixed double berth.
