C. Raymond (CR) Hunt designed his first deep-V 37-footer in 1946 and today the company he founded is the builder of semi-custom power models ranging from 25 to 74 feet. They build day boats, coastal cruisers, inflatables, center consoles, express sedans and flybridge models. The deep-V has been evolving for the better part of five decades and is known for a softer ride, good tracking ability, and excellent stability. In 2013, Scout Partners, owners of Hinckley Yachts, purchased Hunt and today the two companies both operate out of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. A fun fact: Ray Hunt also designed the first 13-foot Boston Whaler that launched that company.
